I agree.

Made me shiver though, given how cool it is this weekend.

Bring on the heat any time, please!
This weekend was beautiful here. Yesterday is was in the upper 50s. It was cold when the clouds went over, but great when the sun was shining. Today it got into the 70s and was sunny all day.

And now, in honour of our Victoria Day holiday weekend up here, I hope you all approve of my new avatar.

It was either her lovely mug or a case of beer, given that this weekend is also commonly called May two-four

@JenniferS, bucking the trend ... since Friday.
Our summer holidays celebrate beating the English in a war. You guys are still politely celebrating their monarchy during yours. ;)

I just got the wedding invitation for my niece and they are having an East Indian wedding and have invited family to dress in East Indian wardrobe. :bookworm: I've spent most of the morning trying to research this. Sooo many beautiful oufits I've seen online but no where close to buy them. I guess I'm gonna have to get crafty. Anybody have any experience with East Indian stuff?

No experience, my DD freshman roommate is East Indian. She dressed very American.

But the question that begs me to ask, is your niece East Indian?

Her future inlaws are from India but he was born in Toledo. She's from Kokomo, IN. They met at Purdue, where they are going to school. It'll be different. It's funny about themed weddings in our family. I had a full renaissance faire themed wedding, a sister (the historian) had a Civil War themed wedding and a sister had a cowboy western themed wedding.

I guess we had a Mary Poppins type wedding. Me in a long white dress and the DH was in a Penguin Suit

Very busy around the house today, both inside and out. Just DWifey and myself, though.
Kiddos went to do this on the Comal River down by Schlitterbahn... :)

I really dislike that I wait all week for game of thrones and the it's only like 40 minutes. 5 solid minutes for episode recap and opening credits at beginning, then30 minutes of dragging on and on, then like five minutes of way cool interesting intense and then it's over and the stupid credits run and it's only 9:53.

Following that, one minute of preview of next weeks episode and then more stupid commercials.

It's not fair.

Thanks for letting me vent.

It's off next week for Memorial Day. Next Sunday is that Julia Roberts movie. Also...
At least that crazy lady Gabe1 sat next to at Captain Cooks isn't around to creep us out anymore. Although her poor son now has to transition to cow's milk without being weaned from the old stuff...

Kiddos got home about a half hour ago. They, of course, had an awesome time!
It was originally just gonna' be our 3 kiddos and SonIL, but, they ended up havin' 5 more friends join them, and they did the tube trip twice!
A little burned, but, otherwise a great time. Looks like we may be plannin' a family trip again for later this summer...! :)

Studying for a licensing test I have to take for work. I figured out my latest pet peeve from their practice tests: misplaced commas!!! For instance: "Mrs. Lewis's height and weight, would be found in what part of her application?"

My boss said that the test is written on a fourth grade level. I think these practice questions were written by fourth graders.
