So you know how I was talking about how there aren't bears down here, and there was a cougar sighting a few years back? Well, this picture was taken last night from a guy who was letting his dog outside near my town.

It's a bear on the right, and an unidentified animal on the left. The woman who lives there with her son said it looked like "a big cat".

This is really weird.

I actually just got a text from my across the street neighbor that the woman who lives behind us was mowing our lawn and the guy that lives next door is edging it. Hubby does free electrical work for everyone, all the time. It's so weird being the recipient of a good deed. Karma coming around, I guess.

When I worked at my high school store, we used to sell those. I think we stopped selling them when we got a slushie machine. Slushies sold like none other!

Apparently we are going to be crazy busy in advance of our price increase this weekend.

Sadly, I have been here 90 minutes and seen nary a soul. Got all my paperwork and phone calls caught up though, and then logged on to see what I missed.

Growing up there was this weatherman on one of the NYC stations called Mr. G. Every time you tell us one of the horror stories about your co-worker I picture poor Mr. G doing those things. I will never be able to watch the PIX 11 News the same again.

For the record I don't camp.

I'm not even a fan of eating outdoors. Animals eat outside, humans eat indoors with utensils and napkins.

We always get them from the cart between the Imagination pavilion and The Land. Then we get candied nuts from the other side of the walkway.

We had blue raspberry and cherry. The biggest seller was a mix between the two, followed by blue raspberry, followed by cherry. On hot days we'd run out of slushies about halfway through the time we were working (this was right after the school day).

You'd be surprised how some people can build fires while still keeping it in the fire pit. My uncle would be known to squirt some lighter fluid on the fire at random times. Unfortunately that stuff doesn't last very long.

I have a video on my phone of my daughter drinking a blue slushie at concert when she was three. Every once in awhile I'll watch it and bring out the "awww look at you when you were small" just to hear "mom!"
