So you know how I was talking about how there aren't bears down here, and there was a cougar sighting a few years back? Well, this picture was taken last night from a guy who was letting his dog outside near my town.

It's a bear on the right, and an unidentified animal on the left. The woman who lives there with her son said it looked like "a big cat".

This is really weird.

I love camping. We're looking at staying at FW on a future trip.

We would only stay there if it was in a cabin with AirCon.
DWifey and her family did some camping when they were younger and she was also a Girl Scout Leader for both Girls for a decade, but, these days she seems to be over it. They always stayed in cabins on Girl Scout Campouts, but, DW DEFINITELY came prepared.
I, of course, slept outside. :)

I recently found this website where you can rent a camper for FW and they will set everything up before you get there and take it away after your vacation. http://www.floridacamperrental.com/ I guess it would be technically not camping ( @donaldtoo ) but then I would say most of those people staying at FW are cheating as well... ;)

Heck, I've known people over the years that thought it was cheating to bring matches...! :D ;) :)

Good morning! Mom arrived here safely last night after spending the last 2 days on the road with my brother and his wife. 2 minutes after they left she had no recollection of the trip or even being anywhere but here. She didn't get to sleep 'til almost 1 this morning, but at 5:30 she was looking to get up. We told her it wasn't time for her to get up yet but she's insisting that she has to get up and go to work this morning. It's going to be a long summer...

God bless her and y'all.
Prayers that the summer goes as smoothly as possible.

Off from work today (yea!), and early tomorrow morning I'm on a plane to WDW! Never planned a trip so close to departure before, but when my wonderful MIL insisted on giving me the money as a gift to go, last week, I couldn't resist! I booked everything just three mornings ago, for this Friday's departure. (Back home on Tues. night.)

The funny thing is that since I hadn't originally planned to go this year, I wasn't paying too much attention to the mechanics of the new ticket media/FP+, other than to cringe at the price tag Disney spent on this falderol. So this morning, I've been reading up on the particulars, and since I'll be staying at the Swan, I'll buy my park ticket there. I think I can just use the plastic card, alone, and don't need to purchase $12.95 for the band (since I'm not a Disney hotel guest, that is additional price for the card to be linked over to a band).

I could care less about the band; I believe the cards, alone, work in the kiosks. Plus, without any real lead time to schedule FP for rides, there probably won't be much to choose from anyway, on the days I go. I'll just try the new kiosks for grins and giggles, but I don't expect to be impressed with last-minute selections. Anyway, I like to just roam around the parks, and I've often been lucky to just "hit it" when ride waits randomly drop in the stand-by lines. There's no rhyme or reason to any of that; it just happens, sometimes. :)

WOOOOOHHHOOOOOOO!!!!!!! :joyfull:
Have a BLAST and some dole whips for meeeee...!!! :)

Doing better - bloodwork closer to normal last night and if it continues in the same direction this morning he can come home. He's definitely feeling better - although his back is still bothering him. Between the epidural shots (which can take up to 2 weeks to be effective) and the spinal tap to check for infection (there was no infection - hopefully they didn't drain any of the meds from the original shot) it's sore. He's calling/texting/facetiming a lot more today so he's definitely homesick and looking to get out of there.

Glad to hear he's feelin' better! :)
