The reasoning behind drinking holidays...

- St Patricks: I'm not an alcoholic, I'm Irish!
- Cinco de Mayo: I'm not an alcoholic, I'm celebrating Mexican culture.
- Mardi Gras: Its for New Orleans, I'm not an alcoholic.
- 4th of July: I'm sorry I thought this was America! I can drink all I want! 'MURICA!
- Memorial Day: I'm so happy it's warm out again, how can I not have some beers on the deck?
- Labor Day: Ugh, it's getting cold soon. Better enjoy these beers outside while we can.
- Halloween: I'm dressed as Yoda flirting with Catwoman. It helps that sound less stupid in my mind.
- Night before Thanksgiving: I just sat on a plane for 3 hours near a screaming baby, I have to spend all tomorrow with my extended family, and my mom asked if I'm close to getting married yet 5 minutes in the door. Just leave the bottle.
- New Years Eve: Is that really all I've done with my life this year? Where is the open bar...

Well, its not like people are forcing you to eat mexican.
also sounds like you had an awesome meal regardless! (funnily, I never tried greek.. I might try someday when I go to the US, since there is nothing where I live)

There is no longer a single Mexican restaurant in my town (pop. 98,000).
Not even a Taco Bell.

I love Greek food. As long as the olives are not over-powering, I think it's my favourite ethnic food.
I also like high end French and Italian too.

And Polish, Ukrainian and German; a lot of which I grew up eating.

Awe poor kitty. Hope kitty will be OK. I think my Pup has a cold or allergies. He keeps sneezing. I never heard him sneeze before and he keeps sneezing. So odd.

Dogs and cats can have allergies. My cat is vomiting and has runny bowel movements. And she just doesn't feel good, we can tell. She's been meowing all day. She was hiding under my bed, but we hauled her out and put her in the bathroom where her litter box is. I feel really bad for having to do that to her, but she needs to be close to her litter box and in a room without carpet. Poor baby.

Third early night (i.e. - before 2:30 am) in a row for me, but these allergies have knocked me right out.

No, my mom will do that. She's had to do it before with her first cat, so she knows what she's doing. We think she has a UTI, based on the fact that I took her to her litterbox, and she looked at me, meowed, looked at the box, looked back at me, and meowed, and then looked at the box again, and meowed before going (did not care that I was in the room, though I turned away while she went), and after she went, it stank even though it was just urine. My mom's first cat had those recurrently, and his symptoms were similar to hers. So hopefully it's something along the lines of meds and food change and nothing terribly serious.

I'm not sad we didn't put off our trip till the media event. I'd been annoyed. Looks pretty much like all of FLE. I'm not wild about any of it beyond pretty.

We have like 9 places that serve pizza in my town alone.

Town is 400 ft on one road a blockk on another. Oh yeah we have a bakery too. Good but expensive.

Man the new Google Maps is awful. It keeps dropping pins when I try to zoom and the street map takes a few tries before it actually does it.
