But yeah, my mom finished her doctorate (unofficially) the other day. Don't be scared, she's not legally able to perform surgery on you. Not the same type of doctor here.

Well, Goofyernmost is back from a 10-day (working trip) to The Masters golf tournament in Georgia. He had fun, and said the location was gorgeous.

Cesar R M said today that he ate 4 double decked hot tuna sandwiches and he's quite full.

@Nemo14, the Brewers are 100% unbeatable. The only way they lose is if they willingly give the game to avoid being selfish. Kinda like last night. It's nice to know we have good people left on earth.

That's awesome - congratuations to her! My daughter finished her Master's last year and is now trying to decide if she wants to go on for her doctorate. She has no intention of being an admisnistrator though, but her school will pay for her degree, so it's hard to turn that down.

I'm pretty much an expert on the MLB. So sad that that Babe Ruth guy's career didn't turn out so well. And it's great that Alex Rodriguez is so trustworthy.

Doctorates literally take up your entire "free" life when you have a full-time job on top of it. My mom had very little free-time for the past 3 years. Having it paid for her does make the decision more difficult, though.

It's great she finished it. A lot of people start but never finish because it can be so demanding in a lot of ways.

That's another consideration of hers. She's quite busy enough now just with the planning and correcting she does. She wouldn't take the time off from teaching to do it, so it really would be difficult.

The season is young, and the whole instant replay/blind umpire thing still needs work. I still love them, and last year was just so awesome. What they did for Boston will never be forgotten.
