In something completely unrelevant..

This makes me fear for the future of our country and world. These stupid idiots are our future. These are the ones who will be making the 'rules' and upholding the law when we are old and elderly.

I can't wait to see President #YOLO.

Anyone see Idiocracy? It's kinda turning into that.
There are young people who aren't idiots. The ones who are idiots just make the rest of us look bad

This. I feel like our generation is classified as "dumb", but I think the reason people believe that is because of the technology boom. Social media makes it awfully easy to post whatever random thought pops into your head. If Twitter and Facebook were around in other generations' days, I believe they would make the boneheaded decisions that people in our generation are making today. The acts of idiocy just weren't as public (or permanently posted on the internet) back then as they are today, making it seem like old generations are more intelligent or have more common sense than our generation.

At least that's my theory.

Well, about the only Biology class that fits into my schedule is now full, so I'm not sure what I'm going to do. Maybe I'll put it off for another semester and take other classes that would fit in the biology time slot(s). Maybe by the time I register they'll open up more seats or more sections.

I absolutely agree with this. Social media is a relatively new phenomenon, and "rules" were nonexistent when it took off like wildfire. Many people now are smartening up (i.e., realizing the backfire circumstances that come from posting questionable material—as it can prevent someone from obtaining a job, etc., down the road).

Yet, no matter what generation you look at over the years, there's never been a shortage of fools. Social media is just another tool (and an instant one) for them to get their twisted points across.
