So...I know I have been somewhat absent these past couple weeks, so, in the interest of total transparency with my Sageteer friends (Sageteamates? Sagetemporaries?)...I'm leaving my job of the last 18 years. I will likely still be teaching music somewhere next year, but not at the school that I have been at for longer than I have been at anything else in this life.

No worries. It was somewhat my decision - in that, I have decided to leave, but it is because of the actions of others. I will find something or somewhere to peddle my wares. Maybe I'll find that information about working for Disney Magic Music Days as a local agent....

Best of luck!
Many times, a change is for the best...! :)

You're welcome.

I don't think I would trust this product.
That pic makes it look EXTREMELY bloated. ;)

That's awesome - congratuations to her! My daughter finished her Master's last year and is now trying to decide if she wants to go on for her doctorate. She has no intention of being an admisnistrator though, but her school will pay for her degree, so it's hard to turn that down.
Hi Nemo! Oh, BTW...
A Doctorate in Admisnistration?

That's great - mine are 2 1/2 -3 hours away. I wish they lived closer, but I can't blame them for wanting out of Rhode Island.

Yes, we're glad they're close. :) Although they definitely have no immediate plans of leaving this part the country it may not always be that way, so we'll do things as often as we can for now and enjoy all the time we have together. :)

Small universe - two close friends from different circles (hs and college) are both watching Illuminations right now and posting about it on FB live.
One year I saw 3 of my teachers at WDW over spring break (4 if you include my mother). One was in front of the Plaza on Main Street. One was waiting in like for that weather thing in Innoventions, and one we actually met up with (my mom and her are good friends) at POR.

When we used to go during winter break we would often run into former or present students, or classmates of our kids. If we had planned to meet-up with them though it probably never would happen.

Three times, I have run into kids at Magic Kingdom (twice waiting for rope drop). I have also run into the same fellow teacher twice at Animal Kingdom. And one of my daughter's friends at Epcot. The world is quite small...

EDIT - Oh, I almost forgot passing a student on I95 South in North Carolina as we were both driving to Disney. Back in my younger days of excessive speed.

One time we were seated at a booth in Beaches and cream right next to a couple of my husband's students. Imagine their surprise when DH looked at them over the top of the booth.
