It was the same thread he had for a few months; the one where he said he was leaving. Then he came back a few months later, and then went away again. However, just this morning (in that same thread in Chit Chat) he said he was really leaving for good. He was going to have his own blog or website (not exactly sure what he was saying), but it would have people who wanted an alternative, and (I think) more upbeat news. (He complained that these forums were getting very negative.) So I replied back and told him that there were many wonderful people on the forums with great information, etc. If I didn't like a thread, I'd simply move on to another one. I told him that even though some of his past posts were controversial, at least he shared different opinions, some of which I never agreed with, but that he generated some discussion. I ended by saying that if he had extra time beyond his current project, to certainly join in the WDW Magic forums again from time to time. Anyway, that was it. That was before 7 AM and tonight, his thread was gone.

I think that @PUSH just responded a few minutes ago by saying that he thought maybe Mr Thick had 2 accounts, & maybe 2 avatars (?), so perhaps something was going on behind the scenes and maybe the mods had to delete the thread? It's all very confusing.

Yeah, think Steve had had enough of Mr Thick and just deleted it.

It's never a good idea to go on a website and brag that you are starting your own website while complaining about the site that you are on.

You raised a valid point, and I had also wondered about that. My intent in responding to his latest post was to try and emphasize what a great community this is here, and if you don't care for some posts, simply move on to other ones. It's easy to spot a plethora of very positive posts on all kinds of subjects, and that's what I couldn't quite understand about his stance. I agree that it did seem somewhat out of the ordinary to promote his own site, on an existing site. I figured that was why he told people to send him a private email if they wanted more information, as he must have known he was walking a bit of thin line with some of his comments. It's too bad, as I think it's his loss to leave the WDW Magic community.

I wasn't implying that he had 2 accounts. I was just saying he changed his avatar.

I agree with unkadug. It was probably deleted because advertising a personal site is against the rules, I believe. Plus, a competing site makes it worse.

It's Disney night on Dancing with the Stars (show is on ABC, probably just a coincident, though), and I've already heard Let It Go in the first 3 minutes.

Jimmy himself mentioned a second account he had here. He also claimed he had never been warned by the mods. I don't believe that. There was an incident a while back involving the "premium members' lounge" and multiple accounts that could have gotten him banned.

Now that you mention it, I do remember him commenting in one thread that the Jimmy account was a second one. I thought he said something like it's just an act he puts on with that one.
