When you're the leader, you don't have to follow.
You also have Boxing Day up there. We do to... except we call it the day after Christmas. It's nice though that you folks want to give gifts to your servants. :cautious:
Our holidays (and the way we spell and pronounce certain words) are more closely tied to GB than to our neighbours to the south.

Did you know we pronounce Lieutenant Governor "lef-tenant governor"?

The "oot and aboot" thing doesn't really happen though.

So Guest group2 leaves today (maybe), then our niece arrives this afternoon and stays 'til Friday morning. Friday night my sister and her husband and her friend leave from NH to drive down, so they should get here sometime on SundayGroup 1. Now mind you, Group 1 left it up to us for what to see and do - the only thing they requested was Animal Kingdom. So we did that, and also did Sea World and Kennedy Space Center with them. Group2 also wanted to see Kennedy Space Center so we took them there, and then when they found out that Larry the Cable Guy was coming to SeaWorld, they wanted to go to that. Last night I got an e-mail from my sister explaining her itinerary - she wants her friend to see Sea world and Kennedy Space Center. :banghead: Fortunately we have AP's to both or this would have cost us a fortune!
I'm planning on doing a research project to see if we are in anyway related. I could use a few guided tours of the Florida area with a nice place to stay.
For Free!

I'd love to spend some time with My forth cousin, twice removed, Nemo. We should try and spend some time catching up on family things though. I've lost track. So what's your next 12 day stretch of open days?

Oh, I don't know about that. My X-inlaws were pretty heavy in the "oot and aboot" catagory! Golf channel recently had a lady anchor that was "oot and abooting" her way through everything. Come to think of it, she has disappeared. She must be oot somewhere.

My beach is $70 for a season pass. I used to get 4 to accommodate guests, but I didn't use the extras enough last summer so people can pay the $10 daily rate themselves now. I keep having to do it when I go to their beaches.

And parking usually costs money too. My town has some pay lots that I have never needed to look at so idk what they cost. There is enough free street parking you don't need to. The next town with the amusement rides and a drinking beach charges like $20 at least to park and you have to pay since street parking you need a permit.

Yikes! That could certainly add up. Love the drinking beaches. Having two adult kids that are certified trainers of lifeguards, they dread drunk people around water. For some reason they start to believe they are Mosses and part the water. My son is certified open water and boat rescue, he has stories.

That will be in Rhode Island - bring your own ice scraper.

I went to see The Lego Movie and I must say I loved it. It had a surprise ending which I won't spoil. I highly recommend it.

Beach fee in RI is $10 per vehicle for residents on weekdays ($20 for non residents) $14 on weekends for residents ($28 for non-residents); season pass is $60 for residents ($120 for non-residents). We never go to the beaches there.

I know I'm sounding like a Negative Nelly lately, and I really do enjoy having friends here - it's just that I need a little down time too.
In all seriousness, I don't know how you do it. I would have sent them all packing ages ago.:devilish: A few years back I considered spending winters near WDW and driving bus after I retired. I mentioned to a few people that I was thinking of that, but, I felt that I was going to be alone the whole time in Florida and that I wasn't happy about that. I was told that if I had a place near WDW I wouldn't have a problem with that because the family would come out of the woodwork for a place to stay and possible free admission. :jawdrop: I immediately altered my thinking and ended up in NC year round. :) Turned out to be a very good compromise!

Well, God has blessed us both with many opportunities and with many friends who have helped us along the way, so it's payback time now. :)

Just shoveled, and it wasn't fun. Tomorrow the high is back up to 41, so I'm expecting a wet, sloppy, slushy mess.
