:(my daughter has been in pain since last Wednesday the 22nd her wisdom teeth are coming in. I see surgery in her near future to extract all four at once
and she wont let me poke her cheeks :devilish:

Sorry. Both my kids went through that - it's so hard to see them in such pain.

My wisdom teeth grew in a while ago, but my dentist said they weren't hurting anything so they wouldn't have to be pulled out. Last few weeks they have been really sensitive and for a few days really hurt so I made an appointment for next week to find out what is wrong. I just saw the dentist in December too...

You guys don't laugh, but we are suppose to get about 2" of snow Tuesday night.

In the Deep South that is enough to cripple the city. Nobody here is used to dealing with this or has the equipment to deal with this.

What's even worse is that there will be freezing rain before the snow.

Temperatures dipping into the teens.

We were driving to Florida one year when it snowed in Jacksonville. It was awful. They were completely unprepared for it and nobody knew how to drive. Stay indoors and stay safe!!

I went to work for two hours and they sent everybody home. Freezing rain right now. I had to scrape half an inch of ice off the windshield and pour warm water on the door lock to even get in the car.

Bridges in and out of town are closed...interstates are closing as I speak....it was gridlock on I-85

I still have not gotten my wisdom teeth, even though I feel them move every once in a while and have since I was 16. My dentist says one will never come in because of the way it's angled. I have to see an oral surgeon this summer. Hoping to put it off because last time I had dental work done I had a horrible migraine afterward. The migraine was worse than the actual procedure...and lasted longer too.

you're evil for poking her! lol
Why all 4 at once? do 2 per 2 from each side, so she can still eat D:

Why prolong the agony....do all four....take pain killers and suffer for a week instead of two.
well, in my case.. my teeth were in a 70-80 degree angle compared to my other teeth. and both of bottom ones had "hook" type roots (aka bent)
so.. getting 4 at once would have destroyed my poor jaw.
(they took 2 hours and half to remove the lower one) D:
brrr,.. I get shivers remembering that...

I had all four of mine out when I was 22. Three were impacted.
The surgery was the day after my Dida's (Grandpa's) funeral, and up until my dad died, that was the worst week of my life.

Which is exactly why, when I was 12, the dentist suggested having two out, but said the others would have to come out before I'm 15, and mom said "just do it all at once" and I agreed.

Best two weeks ever, laying on the couch. I ate ice cream, pudding, popsicles, pain killers, and didn't have to bake outside since it was summer and the living room AC was amazing.

I'm totally OK with having my head run over if it gets me out of work for a week. This "adult" thing is so over rated.

You are right, but I don't decide when we work. I made my appearance, but also voiced my concern that we shouldn't wait until it was too late to leave!
My street gets ignored until the very end of the plow shifts. So it's always fun waking up and everything is looking like a snow day only to find that everywhere else is cleared so I better get to work asap for that meeting if I want to keep my job.

One of the many reasons I don't think I can not have an SUV.
