On a totally different subject - I got a package in the mail the other day and I left the box on the living room floor, so Thelma and Louise have been taking turns sitting in it ever since. It's the funniest thing, they don't fight about it at all, they simply sit in it til they get tired or bored or whatever, then they hop out and the other one takes over the box-sitting. I think I might leave it there for them while we're away this winter since it seems to fascinate them. :D

Cats are funny. Must be hilarious to watch them alternate. I left a box on the floor accidentally and Sidney ate it. Well, shredded it.

Ladies and gentleman, boys and girls...the rink is frozen.

Hubby is getting ready to shovel it, resurface it (yes - for $15 he made a home-boni out of PVC pipe from Lowe's) and we will take it from there.

Stay tuned. Today is going to be interesting.

The good news? the rink is frozen
The bad news? frostbite warnings

It really is - it's like a ritual or something. Like I said, they don't fight about it, they just never leave it unattended. It doesn't take much to amuse them these days...

Yeah - you're right. We have a high of 27 today. It's 12 but there's no wind though so it honestly didn't feel that bad when I was walking the dog. I guess that's to danger!!! It will work out well though because my daughter's skates probably don't fit her so she is going to need to borrow my son's - so if they each have a 15 minute limit before they come in they can just take turns. I'm certainly not buying her another pair of skates for 2 hours of skating in the backyard!!!! If she still wanted to play hockey - yes. To show off to the neighborhood kids - no, no, no.

I had the wire that powers the window come loose last year. If it was winter I would would have tried to track down a Jeep dealership in desperation.

I'm going to have to do something. It happened to my daughter's window last year towards the end of winter and then it got warm and I forgot about it. Until yesterday.

Our van used to do that too 'til my husband had to drive it. Then miraculously he found the time to fix it.

Men!!

Unless it's a drive through I rarely open the windows. It's too cold in the winter and too humid in the summer. This I am going to need to fix though. Yesterday scared me!!

I'm honored!! :D

Funny thing is - if the situation were reversed and she had to share her skates - she would throw a fit. He won't even think twice.

Yup - that was my world when they were growing up. "What's mine is mine and what's yours is, well , mine too when I need it, but hands off of mine!"

Well, considering the AC hadn't worked for years in it either, an open window was pretty much a necessity.

Check out the snow drift and icicles off the roof outside my bedroom window! They are directly over the front door. This can't be good.image.jpg
