Our driveway's been plowed in 3 times so far...DH keeps shoveling it every time. I'm just waiting for it to melt.
We haven't had a plow come by since about 4am. So my issue getting out was that she blocked my car in the driveway with hers, got a ride to work this morning, and took her car keys with her.

Classic!

What's funny is, we all still talk about it to this day with mom and pop, and those are some of our best memories ever! We were nuts, but, we had so much fun! The Grand Canyon, The Painted dessert, Bryce canyon, Zion Canyon, The Petrified Forrest, Yosemite, etc., etc., etc. We usually took a somewhat different trek every trip. :)
I'm not understanding why you chose to visit nature-related attractions rather than DisneyParks. *sprinkles pixie dust on your food*

Good grief!
Can't even imagine all that for so many weeks of the year...
Hope some sun and warmer temps come soon to kick some cold, gloomy butt. ;)

I think you just created the biggest attraction to hit Green Bay since the Packers were first formed! Tubing at Lambeau!
We have sledding at Fenway.

The last National Lampoon Vacation we went on was in '76 when we moved back to Texas. We took one more road trip out to Cali. back in '87 to see friends and then that was it. We've flown to Disney since '88 for our honeymoon. These days family and friends ask us why we only go to Disney on vacation. We likey Pixie Dust...! :D
Although, we're actually planning a ski trip to Colorado for next Christmas, we'll still probably get back to WDW in summer of 2015. :)

well it's supposed to rain this weekend, then go back to sub-freezing temperatures, so we'll be iced over next week.

It's going to be the attraction that finally puts Wisconsin on the map! Watch out WDW!

I do expect some money in exchange for this ides, however. Also a guarantee that I get Aaron Rodgers and Eddie Lacy on my fantasy team for the rest of their careers.

One Little Spark...
Just got back from grocery shopping, and while checking out, a little girl (around 3 or so) came up and politely asked the cashier "Can we use this too?", referring to the half empty conveyor belt. She then proceeded to take great delight in helping her mother unload the groceries.

Too cute.

When I was a kid, my parents took us on a cross-country camping adventure in our non air-conditioned station wagon. Eight of us plus food, clothes and camping gear, including a huge tent, on the road for 3 - 4 weeks at a time. We didn't dare complain...
We went to Florida in July 1962. It was hot as you might expect. We had a pickup camper, no AC in the pickup or the camper, and my sister and myself had to ride in it during the trip. There were two small crank out windows that you could open about an inch and that was it for ventilation. At night, when we stopped, four of us were in this little camper and the only thing we had was a 6 inch, one speed, stationary fan pointed at Dad. That was only when we were able to stop in a place that let us plug in an electrical cord. My that was comfortable. The original plan was to go to Key West (no DisneyWorld back then). We got as far as Daytona Beach before dad turned the thing around and headed back north, non-stop, pre-interstate days. He finally stopped just outside of Washington, DC because we were non-stop whining and kept going by motels with pools and AC until my Mother intervened and told him we were going to spend the night in the next motel we came too. So we stopped one night, went on a guided tour of DC the next morning and headed out again non-stop for home. By then we were at least in cooler weather. It is amazing that I was ever able to go back to Florida again. Even then it took 21 years to talk myself into it.

Yeah - ice everywhere but the rink in my yard. Hubby said this morning it was a colossal waste of time and money. Hmmmmmmm - didn't see that coming.

I went to a drive through earlier and momentarily forgot what the cold does to the motor in my windows. Yup. Window got stuck down. Had to drive home with the window open. It was 12 degrees out. Every 30 seconds or so I would try the window and it would go up about 3 millimeters. When I got home (8ish minute drive) I had to tug up on the window really hard and then it went back up. I still have reduced feeling in my fingertips on my left hand. Fun stuff.

I had the wire that powers the window come loose last year. If it was winter I would would have tried to track down a Jeep dealership in desperation.
