I'm not really a big reader, but Donald Driver's autobiography is really good. Of course, I'm biased, but whatever. I knew the basics of his story before, but it's amazing what he came from and to see where he got. He had a crazy childhood.

I just read something that relates to the video posted about SoCal people complaining about cold.

I was reading comments on an article about the Packers and 49ers playing this weekend. One 49ers fans said that everyone is saying the 49ers never play in the cold, when they really play in the cold all the time. Something tells me this fan has no idea what 1 degree and -15 degree windchill feels like... it's not pleasant.

PS- This thraed is all about weather lately.

EDIT- The same poster just said that the 49ers play in 50 degree weather, which is cold.

To be fair, San Francisco is not SoCal. Especially in the mountains, the people up there can get some relatively cold weather compared to the rest of CA.

But I know what you mean. I've lived and grew up in the northern states (MN, WI, etc) and I'm pretty sure that if that fan went to the game they would be in for a huge surprise.

When you're the leader, you don't have to follow.
Only nine posts away from my 1,500th message. I don't feel like reaching that goal tonight. Goodnight to the crazy people who are still up.
Not crazy, so much as insomniac.
Plus my son has a couple of buddies crashing here tonight, and I have trouble falling asleep until they settle down for the night. Might be a while.

When I was in LA in November there were people complaining about it being like 62. If I could pelt them with snowballs right now, I would.

On a totally different subject - I got a package in the mail the other day and I left the box on the living room floor, so Thelma and Louise have been taking turns sitting in it ever since. It's the funniest thing, they don't fight about it at all, they simply sit in it til they get tired or bored or whatever, then they hop out and the other one takes over the box-sitting. I think I might leave it there for them while we're away this winter since it seems to fascinate them. :D
