Just get a really warm coat, gloves, and hat. The beach is a few blocks that way. Liquor store is a half a mile the other way. Pizza delivery number is on the fridge. If you have any other questions I will be in your home.

Cool, thanks!
Don't bother bringin' a warm coat or gloves down here. You may want the hat to keep the sun off your head, though. Pizza and the liquor store are within' walkin' distance. The closest beach, not so much...3.5 hr. drive.
You probably won't be in the house much, anyway...have fun prancin' in the sunshine...!
BTW...
Do you have cable or satellite?

I hate that I was bundled up like the Michelin Man to shovel snow and still have to wear sunglasses because the sun is so bright. Then I get to sweating and the glasses fog up. Why did I bother. :grumpy:

On a totally different subject - I got a package in the mail the other day and I left the box on the living room floor, so Thelma and Louise have been taking turns sitting in it ever since. It's the funniest thing, they don't fight about it at all, they simply sit in it til they get tired or bored or whatever, then they hop out and the other one takes over the box-sitting. I think I might leave it there for them while we're away this winter since it seems to fascinate them. :D
I am assuming Thelma and Louise are your kitties?

When I got two kittens a year ago, I considered naming them exactly that. Also up for consideration were "Laverne and Shirley" and "Ginger and MaryAnn".

I finally went with Max (Two Broke Girls) and Penny (BBT).

My previous cat passed away at the age of 14. His name was Jack. My mom's cat (Jack's littermate) was named Rose.

Finally get to see what would be in store if I take that position in Austin!

Its cable. The DVR should have plenty room. No RedZone or Big10 Network, but I have the other sport ones. Premium channels are like 10 HBOs and 10 Cinemax.

If you get a flood warning, don't park in the street during high tide.

What do you do with them when you travel?
They stay here at the house. My BIL checks in on them and changes the litter boxes when they need it. My son will be home for a bit while we're gone too, so he'll torture them for a while. My daughter has offered to take them but she has 2 dogs and 2 cats, so I think they'd be pretty traumatized if they went there. They're pretty independent ao they do fine here alone. They just let us live here sometimes.

You are lucky to have such a large support unit. I knew someone in Vermont that went to WDW three to four times a year. They drove down and always brought their cats (2) with them. They had to find hotels that were cat friendly, and they completely governed their schedule. I like animals, we had a cat for 16 years but, I don't think I could be that devoted to them that I couldn't leave them with someone for a week at a time. But that's just me, dead inside and probably why no one loves me. :bawling:

It's actually pretty warm here. 27 degrees with 17 degree windchill. Tomorrow it's supposed to hit negatives before the high is -15 on Monday without windchills.

50 more posts until my 2000 th.

Too bad a whole bunch got wiped out last night.
I wasn't unkind or bullying in any way, but it would appear a whole 2 hours of discourse was eliminated.
