OK - like I said, just curious. I'm not all that cool, so I figured it must be something that the cool kids say.

As I said, no worries! :)
And, you're pretty cool in my book. ;)
Don't tell anyone else here, but, I'm not that cool. A guy can dream, though...! :D

We'd love for it to go up to 47! We're in single digits here and it's getting windy, so our wind chills must be below zero.

I don't want to think about that.

As cold as it is the ice rink is still not frozen. I'm beginning to understand why no one I have ever known has tried this.

Also, a bit distracted by the OU/Bama football game. One of the VERY FEW times I'm rootin' for OU.
At the beginning it looked like it might be a total smash-mouth rout for Bama, but, it's sure been anything but, so far. Lotta' football left to play, though...!

Woof! (Just wanted to say it. I was cool before that, though.)
Goodnight, sleep tight. (whatever that means)
Nobody knows! There are several schools of thought, but nobody knows for certain! I watched an A&E special on that, years ago, back when they were still doing the hour-long version of America's Castles. :)

The ground beneath it is probably still too warm for it to freeze.

That's what I'm thinking - we have a pretty thick layer on top but if you try to put any weight on it - it just sinks and water flows over. It's 17 out there now and supposed to be in the teens tomorrow so it's really our only hope. Also we can't shovel the snow off the ice if we can't stand on the ice! Oh well - hubby has been talking about this for years - it was worth a try.

I'm about to say something very controversial and may offend some of you:

I find the image of the snow falling out the window behind my Christmas Tree rather beautiful and I'm rather enjoying watching it fall right now.

I will rejoin the snow hate when I have to shovel it tomorrow.

I thought you were about to blame someone other than Meg. I would have lost it.

I forgive you. It is pretty, but only when it first falls. and it's so stinking cold!!!!

I shoveled mine already so it doesn't freeze hard overnight. We're not supposed to get any more. This was a very wet snow here, not the powdery kind.
