When rules don't apply to others; I want to hear your stories

Okay, so this didn't happen at Disney: A group of about 10 people standing in the middle of the parking lot looking at me because I dared to squeeze past them in my car to get to parking spot beyond them. It's a "PARKING" lot, not a standing lot.

This did happen at WDW: A group in front of me on POTC taking flash photos. The person directly in front of me at one point turned around taking a flash photo behind him which put the flash directly in my eyes. I even yelled to them to stop. Didn't do any good. In return, I got a ruined experience on Pirates, and they get crappy photos that probably didn't turn out well anyway.
Sometimes the best way to deal with the flash happy folks is to fight back. I did that once on Pirates when a group in our boat was taking flash picture non-stop. After a dozen of them I hooked up my own flash and blasted right at them everytime they started to use their camera... I think they got the message after the third flash and stopped trying to take photos. Not something I would normally do but the idiots were actually turning around and we were getting blasted at point blank range by them.

I hate it when a group of people decide to stop (often suddenly) wherever they are and just stand there (discussing, confused, observing, whatever) despite the fact that they're blocking the flow of people all around them.

This amazes me in everyday life, too. It happens at the mall all the time, as people are coming out of a store. They move into traffic and just stop, dead, and make everyone else move around them.

I can't with people who use flash photography or video record with their screen open, full brightness on.

In the Lion King show, I lost it and tapped the shoulder of the person in front of me and nicely inform them they were HD videos on youtube and their screen was blocking the view and the light was annoying.

They lowered it but kept filming. I'm still happy I said something: they have their freaking video with me telling them about youtube on it lol

Flash and screen light ruins the experience, the ambiance, and you're not taking it in when you are recording it. :(

In May, I was eating ice cream at the tables outside of the Plaza/Ice Cream Parlor, and my mom & I watched a 4-5 year old running with a stroller, while there was a baby strapped in, ramming the stroller into others & letting go so it rolled away, hitting other guests.... Like? Where are your parents!! I wanted to go over to them and ask but I thought it was rude/creepy so I tried to ignore it but it made me so annoyed.

When did they start discontinuing the use of the second FP touchpoints? Last time we were at WDW (March 2016) it seemed like any attraction with a longer FP queue had the second touchpoint.

No idea, but it was pretty rare to see them and the lack of them impacted us a lot. The touchpoints are there, but covered up. Like I said earlier, they were in use at a few places, but the vast majority were just abandoned. Toy Story, ToT, Frozen and the Pandora rides used them, but I honestly can not recall any others having them in use. Not even Splash, Space Mt, Test Track or Soarin were using them. they were there, just not being staffed.

And you know all those people who throw up their giant Ipad to record every show, parade ride ect, never look at them after they have recorded it.

Those secondary checkpoints have not been used for me for the past two years (Last May and this one)... it's annoying... I wonder why they stopped using that second checkpoint... The line breakers is the worst thing!

I also hate that I have been sitting for two hours for a parade spot and someone comes up ten minutes before the parade and tries to sit in front of me... Happens almost every time... So rude and inconsiderate. If they want a seat, they should get there before me...

Maybe it's because it requires one more CM to be at the ride. I don't know why they would get rid of those though. It makes it so easy for people in SB to jump over to FP :banghead:

Ok, so I posted in another thread about how a kid was dangerously leaning against the Monorail doors (scaring the beegeezus out of my husband and I) to where we had to step in and fuss at a random kid because his parents weren't regarding their child at all.

I want to hear your stories where people you have seen in the Disney parks just don't pay attention to the rules (or decide at some point where they are above the rules).
No matter the environment there are always a percentage of people that can't follow the rules. There are a percentage of people that are rude. I detest their behavior but have refused to let them ruin our trip and do everything in my power to avoid them and ignore them.

we try that as well- and we are rule followers teaching our kids to follow the rules and not act like the rule breakers.... So, as responsible parents we have to see it... We don't hang out all line on our phone- our kids are too much fun.

Not really rude but just bizarre.. one time walking through HS studios I looked down at my stepdaughter and realized we had another child with us holding her hand. The girl's grandparents were about 100 feet behind us. I guess they thought we were bringing them to Star Tours. So we backtracked and introduced ourselves and showed them how to get there.

We also had a creepy situation where some man kept nagging us to get my stepdaughter to do TV shows. We shook him off quick.

When we went to see The Voyage of the Little Mermaid, this one person was taking a lot of flash pictures during the first scene with Sebastian's song. A wonderful way to ruin the magic. "Oh there are people up there kids, making everything move mysteriously!" :banghead:The CMs on both sides just held up their flashing red wands to hopefully get this guys attention...it was horrible.
