So, ummm, can you make DD employees aware of this please? My lattes are never uniform at any DD location! Lol

I'm a coffee addict, a serious one. It's the only calories that I drink. My lineup consists of a bad azz coffee maker at home.. I can foam, steam milk, etc etc.. also a French press and a Verismo at home, mini Keurig at work. I rarely use the French press or Verismo now that my coffee maker can make single cups and is a lot less work to clean than my last 'bad azz' one..but both the Verismo and Keurig have reusable pods.. sometimes I'm lazy and will buy the normal ones at Starbucks when on sale though.

Dunkin Donuts management and supervisors just don't enforce things the way they do at Starbucks.

Yes I'm fully aware of how to operate a coffee pot, I'm not a moron.

I also don't like to wait. Coffee pots take too long. My Keurig is way faster than my husband's regular coffee pot.

..and $15 coffee pots can't make espresso ;)

They really should, the price difference isn't that much.

I just don't understand the iPad thing. My camera on my iPhone is about equal quality to the camera on my iPad. Is there something that I'm missing as to why an iPad is better at an amusement park?
Mybe they are the real TV generation that must what something on the TV screen. A great example. here in Seattle, we have Boeing. Part of having Boeing here, there are plenty of older Boeing planes planes about, some still owned by the company stored or parked for the Boeing Museum of Flight. One day some Boeing engineers who were weekend pilots decide to take the last fleeing 707 up for a spin. Aviation gas ran just over $200 bucks an hours worth of fuel. they pool their cash together put an hours worth, figure they would take off fly around Seattle a bit, and land back at Boeing field. they take off they fly go to land, but the air traffic is heavy that day, so they are told to circle. well they instead of claiming a fuel emergency they flew it out of gas and had to ditch it in Elliot bay next to Seattle. They came in near the beach near Salty's Restaurant. That night, one of my Professors from college was having dinner with his wife. They are in the lounge watching this unfold just outside the view windows. He looks back at the bar, there are 10 guys at the bar intensely watching the TV coverage of this. All they had to do was turn their heads 90 degrees left and see it live outside the window. came to rest about 30 feet from the place. Maybe they are true TV generation types.

nope. could've been worse. i'll take the sodas over a full tray of food
While waiting to checkout at Sunshine Seasons, someone bumped my tray and spilt the scalding hot coffee onto my shirt. Both the clerk and manager were quick to act, providing me with an ice pack and recommending I visit First Aid. The nurse provided burn ointment and a "prescription" for a brand new Disney T-shirt of my choice. Total accident and not Disney's fault, but handled very well.

The "prescription" made me laugh, that's so cute. Hopefully no serious burns?

It's crazy. Forget the legal aspects, sitting your kid at a bar is a strange move. And really, quite disrespectful to the other patrons. We were out at a busy restaurant/bar down the shore at the beginning of July, and rather then wait for a table like normal humans, this couple sat with their INFANT at the bar. The baby spent some of the time ON THE BAR. Essentially the entire place was staring at them with reactions ranging from shocked to disgusted. Some people....
Some restaurants will direct guests to eat at the bar when the dining rooms are filled. In that case, the bar becomes a dining table.

I think some people like to leave the "restaurant" out of their description of a restaurant with a bar area.

Is BW3s a restaurant, or a bar..? Such a deep question..lol.
What about Applebee's, Chili's, Ruby Tuesday's.. are kids allowed to eat at any of them? Are kids allowed to watch sports and eat out at the same time? Or should they be restricted to home only..get a sitter, give 'em a TV dinner and the parents can go to B-dubs.

On our recent trip to Epcot, we were riding Living with the Land. Countless times they ask you to keep your hands, legs etc inside the boat at all times. Signs are posted all over as well. They had to keep announcing over the PA system that people needed to remain seated and keep all arms, legs etc inside. Whatever those people were doing it was bad enough that security was waiting for them when we got off the boat.

I am surprised at the number of children that people take to places that really are adult orientated. We booked a fourth of July special event that was over $100 per person and held in a ballroom at the Grand Floridian. The amount of people that brought their children and then let them run around was crazy. It was no better than going to Golden Corral with the kids being able to serve themselves while their parents were at the table or in line at the open bar. We also the trip before had booked a Valentine's Day dinner at Le Cellier and there was a table next to us that had a least 6 little kids up and running around the tables and back and forth to the restroom.

On the part about the scooters and buses I wish there was a way to load them on the bumper so the scooter isn't taking up three chairs as well as the person who is using the scooter they usually make them get off and take another seat. When it is just the hubby and I he gets on the bus right after I do. When we go with our extended family in October I will make the rest of them wait in the regular que.

I honestly can't say that I've ever been in a restaurant, upscale or casual, where I've seen kids running around. Not at WDW or anywhere. Apparently everyone else here sees it on a consistent basis though. Lol

I'm glad that Disney allows children to do more than just "kiddie events" that serve chicken fingers or peanut butter and jelly sandwiches.
I don't think the parents are breaking any rules by letting their children attend a nicer restaurant or $100 event. In my experience the server always make the kid feel like "a big kid" while there, which in turn makes the kid feel special, more responsible, and only improves behavior.

If Disney (or anyone else) absolutely doesn't want kids at an event, they'll let you know. ("18 and older only, please.")

Even if there are kids running around....you're at Disney. Kids are there, lmao.

I didn't even get into people saving chairs in crowded restaurants for their bags...that just grinds my mouse ears to have a person say a chair is being saved for a person who never shows up and the chair is used as a storage location for their shopping bags.
Back in 2007, my sister & I were eating lunch at Cosmic Ray's and it was very crowded (middle of July in the Magic Kingdom) The family seated next to us had a chair piled high with bags, hats, other personal belongings, etc. I noticed a couple with their two young kids walking around looking for seating with none to be found. Funny enough, they were on the same flight as us, out of New Jersey that very morning. The father was disabled and had a hard time walking- he asked the group with all the bags if they were willing to give up the chair, they basically ignored him. My heart sunk, and we quickly stood up to give these folks our table. We finished the rest of our lunch on foot, outside.
