Okay. Vacations are for splurging, right ? I'm making plans for our December trip. I'm looking for detailed information on your favorite gotta-have-'em treats from Disney. ( the Cinderella's Slipper thread is stuck in my head !)

Describe the dessert and list where it can be found.

Thanks !

Yes, please be as specific as possible. The ice cream bars are pretty self-explanatory, but some of the others mentioneed aren't.

Thanks, Tigsmom for the recipe ! You are a wealth of helpful info !!

Not the Official WDW recipe, barnum chased this one down from the the embassy...(metric conversions need to be done)

Skolebrød

25 g fresh yeast or equivalent in dry yeast
150 g butter or margarine (melted)
1/2 dl sugar (1/20th litre)
3 dl milk (3/10th Litre)
8-9 dl flour (8-9 10ths litre)
1 egg

Mix it all, but make sure the liquids are not to warm or cold for the yeast.
Work on the dough until it doesn't stick to the bowl. Roll the dough out in
2 lengths and cut each length into buns of the right size. Let them rise for
about 2 hours in room temperature, covered. Then make a hollow/indent in the
top of each of them, and fill it with vanilla custard/cake custard. Bake the
rolls for 8 - 10 minutes at 475 degrees F.

When cooled off, you can cover them with icing (powdered sugar and water)
and unsweatened coconut flakes.

Don't forget to check out our Recipe thread it has many of our favorites listed.

What is school bread? I have seen you mention it several times Barnum & I wondered what it is.
I see Tigsmom has posted the recipe :D

You can find it in the Bakery in Norway. Its a large bread type roll covered in icing sugar and coconut shavings. Inside it is full of a custard like substance. The Epcot ones are larger than the native Norwegian variety and are almost a meal in themselves. :slurp:

I have to have a Mickey Ice Cream bar just about everyday of the trip, but, (even though it's not really a dessert) I love the stuffed french toast at Cindy's!

Too true. You can't beat the Castle atmosphere !! My plan if I ever win the PowerBall is to build myself a castle, with a moat and swans !
That would be pretty cool! Could I come over and have stuffed french toast? :slurp:
