What's your favorite place in the world?

I have many favorite places at WDW. To be honest, just being on Disney Property is better then being at home, or anywhere really.

1. At MS:USA looking at Cinderella's Castle.
2. Epcot walking through W:S.
3. DHS walking through SoA during the Osborne Lights.
4. AK just walking through the park in general; such a beautiful park.
5. HM being in the elevator.
6. In the loading area of PoTC. I love the smell of the water.
7. Exploring the deluxe resorts such as GF, WL, Contemporary, etc.
8. TTA (best at night)
9. BTMRR at night.
10. Being loaded on to M:S
11. Riding EE

There are tons more favorite spots, but would be impossible to list each and every single one.

I love all these places you guys are mentioning and how there are several similarities, especially PotC and the smell of water :ROFLOL: I thought I was a lonely nut liking that smell, glad to see there are many other nuts! :p

I also like walking up the line outside of BTMRR at night and the smell of their water hahaha.

This is a tough one. In no particular order:

Resort: Walking down to the Food Court in the morning to take in all the hustle getting ready for the parks.

MK: I love Pirate Water too! So definitely Pirates, taking in the smells and listening to the background noise.

Epcot: Anywhere in World Showcase but especially the tables outside of Boulangerie Patisserie. It's so nice to sit there, have a coffee, take a break and people watch for a bit.

HS: The area by the hat. I know there is a huge hatred for the hat, but I just love how they play the music from the movies and have all the cement hand prints.
I also love Hollywood Blvd and Sunset Blvd. Looking at all the store fronts and signs.

AK: Harambe.

DTD: I've often mentioned this but the flower pot fountain next to WoD. There's just something about that spot...always seems to be quiet and calm.

I'm a big fan of the Boardwalk also...love walking around there at night.

Corney and cheesy but my favorite is the anticipation of riding the bus from the resort on the first day to the Magic Kingdom...rushing off the bus to walk down Main Street and see the castle while snapping 1,000 pictures the closer I come. The castle is amazing and makes me feel like I am home.

I also love to rush off the plane at Orlando International to feel the warm Fl sun, go to DME and board to my resort.

  • The outdoor patio tables by Casey's
  • The outdoor queue of Tower of Terror. The mist, the music, the trees...I love it. Even if there is no line, I'll wander slowly along and let others pass me so I can soak it in.
  • Any bench on Main Street at night...watching sleeping kids being carried to the buses, the sounds of my favorite background music...bliss.

I love being anywhere in Disney at any time but I stumbled across one of my favorite spots last year on out big family trip. My wife and I , and her two cousins and their friend arrived at MK for the opening of the park one morning bright and early. I grabbed a coffee while we walked around and they wanted to ride BTMRR.

They rode while I went towards the exit and found a quiet bench to enjoy my coffee. It was great just sitting there for 10 minutes watching people come off the ride and enjoying the sites of a nice bright morning with not much chaos going on around me.

Hope to get the chance to sit there again sometime soon.

Fantastic thread!

1) Sitting on a bench in Adventureland savoring a Dole Whip and listening to the area music which is some of my favorite.

2) Relaxing at a table outside of the Boulangerie Patisserie enjoying a ham and cheese croistant.

3) Early morning strolling the grounds of POR with a cup of coffee.

Pizzafari!!!! In Animal Kingdom my family always goes there and I just love it. Also like a lot of others said TTA at night just the best to sit back and see all the lights and people!

I'm amazed at how many people drink coffee in the heat and humidity of Orlando.

Eh...early in the morning in June the humidity isn't that bad and the heat hasn't set in either so it isn't unbearable outside.

Besides, I've grown up in the south so the heat and humidity is second nature to me.

I love this thread. It proves what I have been saying to people who ask me why I think WDW is so wonderful, there is something for everyone to enjoy because there are so many different things to experience. Here are a few of my favorites:

1) The lobby of the Wilderness Lodge (this is also DH's favorite place)
2) Riding the escalator to the theater in the American Adventure. I love all the colorful state flags.
3) Sitting by the pond having lunch near Flame Tree Barbecue in Animal Kingdom.
4) Walking through the rose garden between Future World and World Showcase at Epcot.

and of course number one for me is standing in the middle of Main Street watching the fireworks at the Magic Kingdom.

For me at each park there is a favorite place that I enjoy:

MK: Walking down main st while looking at the castle.

DHS: Going by Mator and Lighting McQueen while stopping by to get a picture done.

AK: Walking around to the different viewpoints of the Tree of Life.

Epcot: sitting by the foundation at night and watching it get lit up while SE is in the background.

DTD: Having dinner at PH and trying out all their drinks.

Just one?

I don't think I can narrow it down to just one, so how about one per park?

MK: The exterior loop on Splash Mountain that gives you a beautiful view of the whole park - at night, of course;

AK: On the Maharajah Jungle Trek, at the waterfall / pool area for the tigers - I can spend a lot of time there just watching them play (and I agree with jemlover about sitting by the water with lunch from Flame Tree BBQ);

Studios: in One Man's Dream;

EPCOT: World Showcase promenade during Illuminations pre-show (and during and after Illuminations, for that matter);

Resorts: Just about anywhere at and/or in Animal Kingdom Lodge, particularly in Jiko, or sitting by one of the fire pits (in the lobby or outside);

In California Grill at night,

In Victoria & Albert's - any time!

At Port Orleans Riverside, either on the bridge from Alligator Bayou to Ol' Man Island or on the deck outside Boatwright’s by the water wheel.

There are so many more that I love, but since the question was "favorite" I think I've already named too many ....

Watching a parade or show right in front of the castle

Illuminations in Epcot

Watching fireworks from the beach at the Polynesian.

Walking around whatever resort we are staying at at night.

At Christmas, looking at the huge Christmas tree's in front of the parks.

I'm amazed at how many people drink coffee in the heat and humidity of Orlando.

I have not visited Florida all that much, but I've never had any problems with this. I love a good cup of coffee in the morning to get going so I really didn't notice anything with the temperature outside.

walking down main st. as you get to the confectionery and smell that sugary smell and see the castle... for me that's my favorite spot because it's the moment i REALLY feel like i'm on vacation.
