Whats your experience been with Whispering Canyon Cafe???

We didn't care for it--found it very overrated as far as the food was concerned and the service was terrible (we were there for two hours). It has joined our short list of places we will not return (unless we try it for breakfast some time).

We ate there for dinner in Sept. 2008 & it was great!
The food was very good & the servers were very entertaining.
I would definitely recommend it.
If we return in Sept. 2009, we are planning to eat there again.

We have eaten here several times, most recently in December while using the Disney Dining Plan for the first time. Bottomless Milk Shakes were a huge hit at our table.

Yes, it is not a fast experience, but it is a good one and we enjoyed the food.

When we ate there we had to ask for everything...brought our drinks but no straws...had to ask.....french fries....no ketchup......had to ask...tea....but no spoon to stirr it......had to ask.....service was lousy

But really you will love it....those of us who have been before know....

Just remember to ask for whatever it is you want......and when someone else at your table asks for something get your camera ready.....

I prefer this place for dinner as opposed to breakfast, just because I am not usually up for all of the craziness prior to my morning cup of tea!!! At dinner though, I have had several REALLY good experiences. AskMaster Yoda about our last visit with our server, Woody. Then there was the time before that when I drank a bit too much sweet tea with Mrs Yoda and we got beyond silly. I can still get a good chuckle thinking about it. Definitely a fun place, although if you are looking to speed through your meal, this definitely isnt the place to do it. Plan for at least 1 1/2 -2 hours and enjoy the hilarity as well as the good old fashioned down home BBQ. Hope this helps!! Belle

Planning to add WCC to our DDP plan and have heard some great stuff. How's the food? Is the 'entertainment' really worth it?

For me - not worth the TS and quite annoying. It was funny at first but then it got old. Every few minutes there were kids running around with loads of ketchup and moving things around. My poor DH had to ride around on a little pony singing happy bday to me b/c I had the bday pin on. If you like to watch, but not participate, this is not the place to be b/c you will be called out on. We were there for bfast and the food was good but I wouldn't say that it is any better then anywhere else.

I'll never forget that night. We really let it rock.We were living on a prayer especially after all that rain. The sidewalks were really slippery when wet. At least we were able to make it by package pick up before the evening was out.
