Whats Wrong With Me!?!?!?!?

It's hard for me to let my emotions out; wheather its by showing them, writing about them, or just taking it out on the punching bag or a pillow.
As you can probably tell (or not...), my feelings and emotions build up till it just explodes.
Well, tonight just sucked in every way possible. I don't even remember what it was that made me do it. About 15 minutes ago, I went downstairs, got a knife and cut myself on my left forearm a little under my elbow. I didn't cut deep enough to make it bleed, but it is bad enough that there will be a permanant scar for the rest of my life.
I also cut a little around my left wrist and lightly on my abdomen and stomach, but its not that bad.

Anyway, after whenever you read this, thanx for listening to this loser babble on about his problems... :brick: :brick: :brick:

OMG
What made you do that? Whatever it was, please talk it over with someone! Or write it down to someone! (you can email me if you want to) but stay away from those knives! Life is too beautiful and you are too young!

I dont remember what it was exactly. I guess it was just everything that was inside and whatever it was just lit the fuse, so to speak.

And Thnx!!!

I agree. We all go through tough times...but doing that is not the way to resolve any issue. Please give a a close friend a call or give me a PM. Take care, thing WILL get better!

Hey bud, if you want to talk it out with any of us, we are all here most of the time just let us know. There are many other alternatives to harming yourself. Please let someone try to help first, or find other means to let out your frustrations, confusions, or emotions. We all care for you and don't want to see you hurt, OK.

I think your answer is in your last sentence.

You've always come off to me as a person with extremely low self esteem. No one should have to go through life so depressed. Please talk to a professional- if that doesn't work- move on to another. Somewhere out there is a person who can help you, but you need more than we can give you on a message board. And you need to be pro-active.

Good luck.

Dude, just think of me as the Freaky punching bag...if you need to talk about anything, feel free...my AIM name is the same as my forum name.

Maria is right...there's too much around you that's positive (even if you can't see through the negatives)...you just need to find it!

There is always a better answer than physical harm...Release your stress onto some of us if you need to...there are a lot of great people on these forums that would like to help.

Whatever you do fight this and do not try to hurt yourself in any way. We probably only have one life to live and don't throw it away.

And mine... I'll be worrying about you all day now! I hope whatever it was that had you that upset seems a little better now. I think you'll realize that most things seem much different in retrospect than they do at the time... hopefully next time something has you that upset, you'll just jump on your computer and let us all know about the problem before you jump to such drastic measures!! Please take care!!

I agree with Erika. You need to seek professional help NOW. Nothing against anyone here on the boards, but this is over our heads in seeing that you get proper care. Confide in someone you know and explicitly trust and get yourself some help before something like this happens again.

Likewise, but I firmly agree that talking to someone is much better than keeping it to yourself. Some of us may really be able to help make a difference, and it's a start.

You don't have to feel this way!!!

Grab the phone book and look for a mental health clinic / professional in your area right now! . Trust me, there are incredible medications for depression, etc that won't leave you feeling like a zombie. Once they kick in, you'll realize how bad you were feeling, and wonder why you didn't get treatment sooner. If your blood pressure or blood sugar were out of control, you wouldn't hesitate to take meds. Depression isn't any different.

I havnt heard anything like this on the Boards. Ok man your gonna have to get help, or something. We don't want problems like this on the forums. Just be careful, and think before you do something. Life is too short man. Also attend in church, for He will forgive you.

I agree with everyone here!... Go see someone! There's no reason out there bad enough to harm yourself. No matter how hard it gets, there's nothing out there worth harming yourself over. Life is a truly magical thing... Just think about all of the people out there that are fighting to sustain and keep their own lives... If you EVER need to chat about ANYTHING, IM me (MicBat on AIM, MicBat25 on yahoo) and we can talk. Now, just like MouseMadness, I'll be worrying about you all day! :(

...time for a different point of view...

Self Mutilation in all forms is sadly all too common (especailly here in south florida..must be the heat)...having tons of friends who have done that in the past, or who still CURRENTLY do it...I can tell you its actually not that abnormal to have tendencies like that.

This doesnt mean its ok.

One of my best friends down here is a beutiful girl who would have NO reason to do such a thing, and still currently gets urges to heat up safety pins (sterilizing) and cut herself all over her shoulder blades...it bothers the hell out of me (especially since this is a girl i care a LOT about)...and no matter what I do or say..it never stops.

The only true advice I can give you, is to try and stay concious with your actions. IF you feel you are starting to go too far with all this, you may want to have a friend stay with you and keep an eye on you as much as possible...

Good Luck.

Sorry, I didn't mean to make anybody think I didn't think this was serious... I'm just saying, perhaps it is easier with the anonymity to talk to somebody on here... it's better than nobody... and going to a professional could be a huge, difficult step.

I agree with everyone else, but here is another option. Write down words describing how you feel, and look at them, and then write down why you think you feel that way. If you can put it on paper, you're one step closer. Plus if you go and see someone, you have something to show them rather just a story to tell.
