Very true that everyone has a slightly different perspective, but it doesn't hurt to try and get the best, sourced opinion. Out of curiosity, because that article didn't make it clear, (maybe @lentesta can clarify), was the data graphed in that article based on all of WDW's guests, or just Touring Plans users and Affiliates? Because, if just based on that group, I have a feeling that you are going to see increased brand loyalty skewing results that would otherwise be more moderate. But, perhaps even bigger is the fact that I believe that everyone that had their vacation cancelled intends to simply push off their vacation. However, whether that will be feasible (travel fears or economically as millions are going without pay) for them to still drop thousands of dollars is yet to be seen. Not that I want to get into a this vs this type back and forth, but there is other analysis that sees it differently.

Not Martin, but all Animal Services are being continued as usual. What do you think is happening with the tiger care right now at Animal Kingdom? @marni1971
But isn't this something Disney has done consistently over the past decade to encourage bookings, especially during times of weak demand? I remember fire sale AP room discounts occurring even during good economic times. However, the fact that Disney is already offering substantial discounts to merely incentivize rebooking does not bode well.

Right on totally agree. Virginia how stay at home through June 10th at the minimum, and I believe Florida has a later peak date?0%. And I raise the odds of WDW opening by June 1st in general at 3% chance.
Largest park + lack of CRP's that make the back half of the park closed + probably no fireworks + half of it is under construction + lack of attendance anyways due to construction = The park with the least amount of offerings, ergo the easiest to cut out.
Not on this scale, if I recall (admittedly I would have to double check). AP room discounts happen almost all year (I’ve scored an AP rate over Spring Break before). Free Dining though usually is considered to be the “big guns” to pull people in for smaller ranges of targeted date sthat are forecasted to have weaker attendance. But isn't this something Disney has done consistently over the past decade to encourage bookings, especially during times of weak demand? But that wasn’t Disney’s goal...the “rabid” Star Wars fans who were NOT Disney fans and were supposed to add themselves into the fold never came and won’t.
For those saying that we will see sustained high crowds once the parks reopen, I’d like to point you to this wonderful article by @WDWFigment (Tom Bricker):
How Crowded Will Disney World Be After Reopening?
“How bad will crowds be when Walt Disney World's parks reopen?” and “which months will be busiest when WDW reopens?" are two common reader questions right now. Many readers are understandably anxious about crowds whenwww.disneytouristblog.com

What I am seeing is that Floridas stay at home order ends on 30 AprilRight on totally agree. Virginia how stay at home through June 10th at the minimum, and I believe Florida has a later peak date?
I thought FEA was no longer under Norwiegen contract, after they walk away from, the pavilionI think they will be waiving it. I have a feeling the US will not be issuing visas for any foreign workers, and I doubt travel restrictions will be eased even past the parks reopening. I assume the US focus will be on Americans getting jobs.
Other than locals, are typical Disney guests now more on the upper end of the income scale and this not as affected by this?
You took the words right out of my mouth. That is exactly what Hubby suggested when I said wanted to cancel last week.Or they know the reservations are going to be cancelled, and are waiting for Disney to do it themselves and offer rebooking incentives instead of preemptively cancelling and getting nothing.
There are TONS of people champing at the bit to return on day 1, even if only the outdoor spinners are open.
I’m addicted to Disney like all of us, but I don’t want this to taint my WDW experience, so we booked Vero Beach for 4th of July. We have never been, will get some Disney without having to observe how the parks are different, and honestly, relaxing at a small resort on the water sounds really nice after this. Disney World will be there next year for us.
