Yes
Why dont they just do this...Put HM merch on the cart? I dont care about NBC, squishy eye balls, or whatever else they have on there. To me, its crazy such a loved and popular attraction has pretty much no merch. Yes there are shirts now...But the key chain, license plate have been there FOR YEARS now. I would LOVE a beach towel...

Sounds like everyone needs to start heading to DLR. Located in NOS first shop on the left.

I WANT THAT SHIRT.

Sigh. Disneyland gets the best merchandise.

Yeah, I don't want a store at the exit to Haunted Mansion, I like stores "Away" from the attractions like Le Bat En Rouge and Haunted Mansion at Disneyland.

Gone are the days of the good merchandise... Glad I got my hands on some of it while it did exist... I mean, seriously... Look at the quality of this stuff(Excuse my crappy iPhone camera, ugh!):

If they did it the right way, it would be awesome!

They should have it set like the parlor atmosphere. Do it up right with AA in the shop. Also have a centerpiece in the center of the shop such as a horse drawn hearse. The CMS should wear the same butler uniforms as in the attraction.

Merchandise should have no Disney Parks stuff-only well themed attraction related merchandise.

****Also why not capitalize on the Pirate and Bibidi Bobidi Boo makeovers they have and have a portion of the shop devoted to haunted makeovers???? Do different kinds of face makeup for boys and girls and men and woman.

Luckily I got my hands on some of the 40th anniversary stuff thanks to my fiance. I really wish they would have more HM stuff, especially the stretch portraits which I've been looking EVERYWHERE for....

DL does have the cart outside the exit too its across the walk way near Harbor Galley. Only picture I can find of it but you get the bonus of Jack and Sally!

I found the lithographs in the Art of Disney several times, but when I found the tapestries(With the Bat Stanchion hangers) I opted for those... Try Ebay!!

I completely agree. They do have that cart, but it is insufficient considering the popularity of this classic attraction.

Last week only one side of the cart had merchandise on it and the other side was closed up. Most of the merchandise is NBC stuff though. :(

where would they build the store so it wouldnt distract from the building

Like the others said, a shop along the canopy at the exit would be perfect. It would just need to be built to look like the house and have actual HM stuff in it. I've said this for years and still can't see why they haven't built one seeing the long lines and popularity of the attraction lately.

Believe it or not, I got everything at the Disney Store(Online) or the MK. Oh, and the Nautilus was 1/2 price when I got it($269 or so). Then Master Replicas started selling em online again at their site for like $499, yikes!! Disney Store rocks, lol!!

I would say just redesign Yankee traders into a shop with HM merch and move the Yakee traders merch into another shop... around liberty square or main street. :lookaroun

Then you can give the building a nice overlay as being an extension of the attraction by being a little odd looking, while keeping it intact with the columbia resturant thats connected to it as well...

I agree to an extent. I think Haunted Mansion is a bigger merch sell than Hall of Presidents lol.

Ok Yankee trader for years sold HM stuff then they moved it all to a cart,Leave Yankee trader alone one of the only original shops still running. As for the screaming chineese girl I didnt know they even could talk just smile and nod there head.Everytime I see one I just want to yell out Godzilla and see what they do.Or is that Japaneese all the same to me:lol:

They really could just use the existing gift shop that's on the corner near Columbia Harbor House.
Currently it only sells misc. junk anyway.

They could have the side of that gift shop that faces the Haunted Mansion area decorated in an HM theme, while the side that faces Columbia Harbor House could remain as it is so it matches the other area.

:)

I agree. They need to convert the shop on the corner with all the kitchen crap (and know that I say this as a person who loves to cook/bake and has a ton of Disney "kitchen crap") into a Haunted Mansion/Nightmare Before Christmas shop. They desperately need something better than that puny, overcrowded cart.

Ok the Yankee trader has been there since the park opened selling kitchen crap and other Yankee type merch. And yes the haunted mansion has been there since day one also with no need to have a store.I ve never seen anyone purchase anything from the cart anyway so why have a store so they can put more Hanna Montana junk in it?They have had a cart for a long time so it must work for them.
