What's going on with Epcot Future World?

Please no more Pixar, look I love pixar as much as the next guy, but seriously?:brick: There is too much Pixar attractions already. Take take the Laugh Floor for example: entertaining, fun usually, but not themed to Tomorrowland. Epcot needs to get back to it's roots!

I agree with you on this. When they get around to fixing Tomorrowland, they could move the Monsters Inc Laugh Floor to where it belongs; Pixar Place and do something (dare I say it) tomorrow-ish to the space in Tomorrowland. Like you said, it's a great attraction but it's out of place. DHS needs attractions and Pixar Place is a great place to expand; plenty buildings that aren't being used for rides/shows and real estate behind it.

Is Staggs really open to that? While I'd love a CEO who's a little less franchise-driven, I've never seen/read/heard anything to suggest staggs wants to change the way TDO/TDA/TDB does things.

No Staggs is a money man. He probably won't change things much assuming he actually becomes CEO and even if he does not, There are very few people I would trust in corporate America or as I prefer to call it the gang of thieves.

I don't see less movie/tv tie-ins happen when Tom Staggs takes over for Iger. Staggs was a major player for Disney having Marvel, and is part of the reason the Avatar deal happened.

Based what Staggs did under Iger gives me the impression that he will will the same thing as being president of the Disney Company. The thing also is Staggs loves the parks and that means there could be a lot of movie/ tv tie-in stuff going into the Parks that Disney has under Staggs.

What would happen with Future World with Staggs as President of Disney is unknown.

There is some potential problems Staggs has to face with WDW when become President of Disney because of what is happening with Sea World right now and the expansion of Harry Potter at Universal. WDW is not equip for facing potter with a couple of their parks including Disney Hollywood Studios.

Expansion will be the last thing on staggs mind when it comes to WDW circa 2015...

If there was a expansion under staggs in future world then I imagine it will be renamed Pixar world...
As for the threat of UNI and seaworld... It will take decent dive in attendance to get change in that direction

Please no! They should take the Judi Dench audio tracks out and incinerate them in the inferno barge during Illuminations. :ROFLOL:

Seriously, I just don't get why they did so much good to the first half of the ride (the cave paintings, great new AAs, cool 70's computer room, The Woz) only to completely fumble the narration and descent. Why half ______ it? But I guess that question sadly applies to many things at EPCOT Center nowadays.

Thank you, I agree.

Eh.. We know nothing of the man really.

We really don't know he will get the nod either. Board makes the call, not the outgoing CEO.

One more vote for a franchise-free EPCOT.

Come on Disney, Spongebob Squarepants is a cartoon brand. Disney is not. Disney is so much more. Disney is creativity, innovation, ambition. What EPCOT is. The strongest brand in the entertainment industry - if only one would put in the effort.

Great video. One can never be too sentimental about SSE. That sphere and its content mean something to me, they fulfill a role in my life. They're imprinted on my mind since 1983.

The biggest WDW decisions that Tom Staggs have been made have been the removal of the princess chateaus and the Avatar expansion. It seems that the Princess Chateau decision may have been spurned by his children while the Avatar expansion was seemingly prompted by Iger.

I will give him credit for making the Fantasyland expansion MUCH more exciting than the Rasulo version would have been.

A wall is now up in front of The Seas for construction to begin on the new FastPass/Handicap entrance. Still don't understand why Nemo needs one.
