Well, it sort of does. War Eagle is a ubiquitous phrase, with many appropriate uses. It can be used as a greeting, an interjection, punctuation, and many more. Adding the "dayum" only serves to modify the phrase based on intended intensity

 You put it so much better!

He can't actually pronounce "dayum" with his accent

Wrong, anyone who is an Auburn fan has no problem saying War Dayum Eagle! It's like riding a bicycle. It comes back to you.

His pronunciation:

"Wire dah-yooooom eeh-gail"

or "Wore dah-yume eeh-gelle" on the second attempt

Not everyone in my family speaks English with my clarity ;)

And they do hard time in 'bama.

In Bama land they prefer you mispronounce it. As a matter of fact for the past 6 years, they've been saying their own version of it each November. On the Plains is where it must be pronounced correctly

We'll have plenty of time tomorrow morning when we take the War Eaglette (aka, his boat... remember, it's bad luck to name a boat a male name, so to be safe, he named it the War Eaglette) to the Virgin Islands for the day. He had his boat painted in Auburn colors and flies an Auburn flag when it's in US waters

I got held for an additional 4 hours on my shift....merry christmas to me!

Oh, and my car didn't start christmas eve, and was towed to the shop this morning with some kind of electrical problem.

So my wife and I decided that christmas this year was jinxed...we'll move on to valentine's day, which is one of our favorite hallmark holidays each year :)

I didn't take any pictures, but here's what I got so far. Still have more to come (I think):

-Macy's gift cards (can't wait to shop)
-The Carly by Coach in chocolate brown
-A pair of Coach clogs (yippee)
-A new lens for my camera (70-300MMf/4-5.6 IS USM) that I don't know how to use yet
-Desperate Houswives on DVD
-The last season of The OC on DVD
-The first season of October Road on DVD
-A channel set sapphire bracelet
-And hopefully the ability to renew our AP's :)

And some other stuff too...

It can also make my DH very mad when one of the children say it. He is a huge Alabama fan, but we live so close to Auburn that the kids have turned into Auburn fans.

Back to Christmas, Santa gave me & DH a trip to Gatlinburg.... alone. :animwink: It was very nice. I love being there at Christmas time. My children racked up as usual. The main thing that they wanted were digital cameras so they each got a really nice one along with Ipod docks & everything else. It was great.:xmas:

Merry Christmas!

:ROFLOL: My boys know that if they say those horrible R*** T*** words or that aweful 4 letter B word they will get their butts spanked. The 6 year old found an elephant statue at my mom's house and said "I can't believe you have this junk in your house!" and proceeded to throw it in the trash :ROFLOL: We saved it and explained to him that it wasn't one of those nasty Alabama elephants

So after spending a total of 4 hours on the boat today, my cousin still can't pronounce Dayum

So, this Christmas was a little depressing...first one away from home, and all that. I think the parentals tried to cheer me up by sending me a good haul. It worked for the most part :)

-Ipod Nano (8gig, blue)
-Digital Camera
-Rushmore and a Beatles CD from my brother (I think he's trying to educate my tastes, haha)
-Soundtracks from Hairspray and Enchanted (both of which I'll have to exchange since I already own them :))
- Itunes Gift Card
-Amazon Gift Card
-Hairspray
-Meet the Robinsons
-Pixar Short Films Collection
-Socks (I love me some socks, not gonna lie!)

So yeah. A pretty good year. But I think I still would have preferred cuddling with my 3 year old sister in front of the fire, watching it snow outside. Oh well. I'm going home for my birthday, so only a month to go!

OH. Almost forgot. I also got a 4 year old child screaming at me in Spanish and then kicking me really hard in the shin because Jaws broke and I couldn't let them back in line after they left to use the restroom...and then his father cussing me out when I told the kid not to kick me. I don't think their Navidad was very Feliz.....
