What would you do with the hat at DHS ???

I'd move it, my main issue is that it is blocking the GMR which is much more pleasing to the eye.

Someone mentioned DTD, not a bad idea... The wand and the hat were just not good idea's for where they were placed.... Both of those parks already had iconic identities and good traffic flow. I believe the hat blocks on the great movie ride (which isn't so great right now) and the wand diluted the impact of SSE... My 2 cents all y'all!

Ehh I never know how I feel about the hat.
I don't mind it per say...it's kind of cool, but I don't like it as the park icon and I don't like it blocking the Chinese Theater.

I think they should build some sort of dock out in the middle of the lake outside of DHS and put the hat on it. not the lake inside the park, but the one near the bus stops and such.

Oooh - good idea! I love the hat, but it does ruin the whole effect of the Chinese Theater - esp. at night when they have all the spotlights on.

As I have said before either use it as the entrance of Fantasmic but put it further up the hill, Or move it to DTD I think it would fit in really well.
I also have suggested that it be used as a decoration in the middle of a lake.

There's nothing wrong with the hat in and of itself. The problem is that it blocks the view of the Chinese theater and that it looks like it should be something more than a pin shop. Move it. Label it as a pin shop and you're done.

First of all, remove it from it current location. It's an eyesore and the theater was supposed to be the weinie, not the hat! Close the Animation Tour (if it isn't already) and remove the queue area. Place the hat inside the Animation courtyard as an entrance to the Animation building, kinda in the location of the entrance/queue now. Have a quick walk-through tour of the history of Disney Animation (think One Man's Dream) and finish it off with an expanded character meet and greet. It would make a pretty useless space (Old Animation Building) useful again and help to swallow more guests in the Animation Courtyard.

I have to agree with you that would be a good idea. Or even put it in the parking lot as you enter to park your car.

Move it over beside the Brown Derby, just outside the gates leading to The Little Mermaid and Pixar. Get the stage removed from in front of the Hat where it now is for the High School Musical to give an unobstructed view to GMR/Chinese Theatre.

I agree, and I too thought Downtown Disney would be a good location, particularly DTD West.

The Hat needs to be moved to outside the front of the park where the Christmas tree is located in December.
There it can serve as the practical icon for DHS.
