What will Disney announce for Disney World at the 2022 D23 expo?

People forget how great finding Nemo was too…it was just 20 years ago before the world dropped bucketloads of content on everyone’s head.

Nemo was top 3 on any Pixar list…if you ask me.
My issue with the Nemo ride is it makes no sense in the context. They should have designed the ride and queue to fit the theme of sea base with nemo as a visitor. Right now the ride and the rest of the pavilion don’t make sense story wise.

I think WDW DESPERATELY needs more Winnie the Poohs, Peter Pan's Flights, and Snow White's Scary Adventures (RIP).

Each of those attractions, for their faults, scratches the itch in a way Mermaid and Nemo don't. I'd hate to say they don't make 'em like the used to, but sometimes it almost seems like it.

Someone needs to come along and re-teach Disney the art and the value of the C-Ticket. They're making them less and missing the mark too often when they do.
Snow White wasn’t “better” than mermaid. It was just old and therefore “classic”

I think the hate for mermaid - though it’s dull - is more a “symbol”

A symbol that people hate movie plot rehash rides…

Frozen, mermaid, abramsland.

They are devoid of really any imagination. So it leads To a dull ride.

I disagree. Every single time I take anyone on Peter Pan they go "That was it?"

Winnie the Pooh, yes.

Snow White, yes.

But I wouldn't put Pooh or Snow above Little Mermaid. I think Mermaid is better or equal to those two attractions... The only difference is Pooh and Snow have a more conclusive ending. But they are very rushed.

I think it totally was. It had a level of pacing, drama, atmosphere, and art direction that Mermaid desperately lacks once you board your clamshell. Snow was showing its age and there was definitely room for improvement, but Disneyland's retooling of their SWSA shows how much potential there was to better the WDW version if they hadn't leveled it for a meet and greet.

I'm not sure how this second point stands up when directed at someone who's literally arguing that there are plenty of other "plot rehash" rides that are better than Mermaid. I agree with the premise that book report rides don't get you the best mileage out of your movie IP as a theme park experience, but that's not why Pooh, Pan, and Snow are/were better than Mermaid.

I would be very curious in looking at a poll as to which ride 3 to 8 year olds liked best between (WDW's) Mermaid, Snow White, Peter Pan, and even Nemo...

...Because something tells me that they'll just get excited about all of them. Lol.

One more time for the people in the back Not. Every. Ride. Has. To. Be. A. Giant. Groundbreaking. Attraction.

For added emphasis... Not. Every. Ride. Has. To. Appeal. To. Disney. Adults. Who. Wet. Their. Pants. When. A. Vintage. Spaceship. Earth. Cookie. Jar. Is. Announced.

Little Mermaid does just as good a job as Frozen Ever After for the young'uns.

I’m not a huge fan of mermaid…

But the hate it gets when compared to ____ has always been overplayed. Overplayed in Anaheim for sure…and it spread across fandom. Just a ride meant for kids. Kinda like mine train. Weird “grading scale”

I think that has to do with the soundtrack. it needs to be changed. more like the one at Disneyland. as it is, the ride just kinda fizzles out. it bothers me every time I ride it and just reminds me how much Disneyland does everything better.
I still disagree. If it isn't going to be upgraded to Shanghai's version, then I don't believe it will be improved.

It’s really just an elaborate flat ride. I couldn’t shake the idea…still can’t…that WDI is trying to copy one of the potter rides?

They kinda put all their chips in the “abrams” basket. It’s a living monument to how Disney management doesn’t really get their IP in this case.
If it didn’t have the crazy hype that led me to buy the ILL, I would have been like that’s great. But in this case it definitely did not live up to the hype. I enjoyed MFSR more because my expectations were lower.

They are going to announce nothing for the parks, other than a few refurbs and exisiting projects.

There is a new CEO - investment in parks will not be an attractive prospect.

No way. It's incredibly immersive; one of the better rides Disney has built this century despite some clear flaws. I wish they'd commit to that level of detailing/theming on every attraction.
Way. it looks pretty, but that is about it. the screens wreck the immersion and there is pretty much nothing going on in most of the ride. it's a place to go to sit down and cool off for a few, that's about it. I'd rather ride Living with the Land.

It’s an aquarium meant to educate. Really no other story was gonna fit right
