What will Disney announce for Disney World at the 2022 D23 expo?

I know there's no comparison but kali river rapids also has the makings of an extremely good ride, probably could be one of the best rapids rides ever.. it's just way too short!
If I recall…they cut it Down significantly.

It’s kinda pointless…haven’t rid it in years. My kids never have been on it and they’re teens.

The bilge barges across town they jumped all over…for comparison

I agree -- I also think the wait times are a serious problem. When people are waiting 60+ minutes to ride, they generally expect more (I'm surprised Peter Pan doesn't get dinged for this, at least by new riders -- maybe it does), so that doubles down on making it feel underwhelming.
I criticize Peter Pan's Flight (another C Ticket) for this reason. Wait times make it overrated. In both cases if you could regularly get on in under 20 minutes the reception would be better.

Think of something beloved on here like Living with the Land, a longer ride that rarely has a wait, it's a relic of EPCOT past where so many things had high capacity and larger D/E ticket scale. There's a reason why perception for things like that are so much better.

The only rumor I've seen - if anyone else has seen anything suggested, please feel free to post - is one person hinting about something Jungle Book related for DAK by mentioning Sloth Bears and Orangutans.

I know in the distant past, @ToTBellHop had said they had plans for some E-tickets ready to go to compete with Uni's EU if they were approved. Hopefully they'll dust those off and greenlight them....

(Edit: this is the post in question but it is from a while ago)
I think the Sloth Bear / Orangutan comment was more wishful thinking than an actual rumor.

Take whatever they "say to investors" with a grain of salt (this goes for all companies on the planet). Their job is to paint a great picture, give investors confidence, etc.

Sometimes that means spewing out complete bull doo-doo.

Disney is very concerned about Epic Universe, the recession impacts on 2023 travel, their debt service (interest rates they pay), labor shortages, increased cost of labor. That doesn't even speak to other aspects of their business like Marvel movies which seam to be losing steam.

I think ANYTHING we get new in the parks announced and completed in the next few years will be a blessing. My prediction is some things done to combat Epic Universe, then a LONG lull, think 2025-2028 with almost nothing new. If conditions improve possibly lots of huge stuff for late 2020's, early 2030's.

I would hope that $6B is for new unannounced capex, or at least enough of is available for expansion.
The problem is they now throw everything into the same pot…thanks to “strategic reorganization”

If this was 10 years ago and they said $6,000,000,000 for “parks and resorts”…there was little ambiguity on how to BS that number.

This could be for racks at Target…for all we know
