I don't think anyone seriously wants it... But based on what some people (who usually know things) have said in the past, it's a possibility. The Simpsons at a Disney park ???
Please be serious.![]()

That's the issue.. the crude piece is so not Disney's image (thus far), like Simpsons being in the park would make me not want to go to Hollywood Studios, I feel like it will cheapen it
Keep in mind this is the SAME THEME PARK at one moment in time had a stage show...Based on WB's Ace Ventura..The Simpsons at a Disney park ???

But it was a character of a PG-13 rating..But, then again they use Carrey's version of the Grinch at Universal so que sera sera..Shows that can come and go easily feel very different from a permanent dedicated land and rides
If anything it'll look like desperation. "As Universal prepares to welcome new park, Disney strikes back by announcing they are building something Universal did 20 years ago"A Simpsons announcement will not garner any media attention strong enough to pull attention away from EU.
But what’s the point ?I don't think anyone seriously wants it... But based on what some people (who usually know things) have said in the past, it's a possibility.
If they really want to take the attention away ... If they want an actual win. My guess is they have secured Marvel rights for Animation Courtyard.
Otherwise, no need for a big splashy announcement.
This would be amazing! Even though Marvel is not in a great spot in the current moment, the history of Marvel would make a compelling argument!Just my opinion ... if they are really going to announce this outside of a convention, the week of EU opening & in the midst of several other attractions already being built at the resort. It has to be for a bigger IP than Simpsons.

How many times have we gone over that Universal is NOT giving up the Marvel rights? This would be amazing! Even though Marvel is not in a great spot in the current moment, the history of Marvel would make a compelling argument!
Just build something better than Spiderman in DCA!
Well, they can’t use Horton (Universal) or Penauts (Knott’s). And really, other than Ice Age and arguably Rio, are any of the other Blue Sky properties relevant? They should be going to their untouched but dabbled for a brief test IP..And since there is a 6th ice age film in the works...

An overseas park Known as Genting Skyworld has several lands themed to past Blue Sky films.Well, they can’t use Horton (Universal) or Penauts (Knott’s). And really, other than Ice Age and arguably Rio, are any of the other Blue Sky properties relevant?
I think Rio could be a neat addition to Tropical Americas, specifically the music. I can picture a streetmosphere band including some of those songs in their sets.
That really only leaves Ice Age for parks use, and I think DAK would be the logical choice. Now that Dinoland is gone, there’s no representation for extinct animals. If Disney wanted to return to that well (and if ice Age 6 is successful) there’s no better IP in their library.
Agree to disagree. How many times have we gone over that Universal is NOT giving up the Marvel rights?
I'm of the impression that if MSHI goes, Wicked should replace it. Wicked fits the best in IOA as they aren't going to add a new new land to EU once the existing expansion pads of the current lands are filled, and they are probably keeping LC open in the event they figure out Zelda.Agree to disagree.
Universal will come to a point (or already has) where promoting a Disney owned property makes no sense for them in the longterm. Even if it is Marvel Comics and not MCU.
Furthermore, Marvel superhero island is getting a bit long in the tooth ... and they have several properties that they could put in that space.
Or, Zelda goes to Epic and Wicked replaces Lost Continent. There's definitiely no chance that Universal are going to give up their Marvel theme park rights so that Disney can take attention away from Universal's new theme park with a Marvel @ Disney announcement.I'm of the impression that if MSHI goes, Wicked should replace it.
