What ride do you like that everyone else hates?

Well considering they all got closed recently I guess I am of a minority to whom Energy, GMR and Shark Reef were terrific, park-defining experiences.

I think I also like the Treehouse, classic Disney Americana and the WS movies more than the general audience, and VotLM and the rather marvelous iasw song more than many fellow fans. :)

We were HUGE fans of Ellen's Energy Adventure in my family. My kids - 7 and 4 - were so bummed it wasn't there this time. As was I!

People Mover. This past trip was the first time I didn't ride it while there, because there was a 20 minute wait. A WAIT for the People Mover. ***.

I remember waiting in long lines for the People Mover in the early 80s. It's still one of my favorites ... perhaps in part because I am always excited to see it as a walk-on after waiting in those long lines as a kid!

American Adventure - I used to think it was the most boring thing on the whole of Disney property. I started to really get into the song at the beginning and began to like it (a little bit). I then went on the tour where it takes you behind the scenes of the whole building and my mind was literally blown. I love this show ( especially when I'm trying to listen to the mechanics move about in between scenes) and cannot make a single trip to Epcot without seeing it! Would love to see it on a full run from the other side of the screen!

I’d go with stitch too :)
I also enjoy Kali but many complain about it...
I like Kali a lot, I just wish there was more of it. It really is one of the coolest rides of its kind but Disney fumbled big time when they made it. I haven't been on it in years just because if I am going to get wet, I want there to be more of a payoff.

I got two nits to pick (and I'm just being picky, so feel free to ignore). What song at the beginning of AA? It starts with Ben Franklin and Mark Twain talking, so there is no song right at the beginning.

Also, your mind wasn't literally blown - if it was, you'd be dead. It was figuratively blown. Yet another of my many pet peeves . . .

I enjoy Ellen's Energy Adventure. Most people find it slow and boring, but it's a nice change of pace from a busy day at Epcot. This attraction still represents the old school Epcot Center rides for me, and I have a lot of nostalgia for entering the theater and getting into those giant moving vehicles. I know that Ellen's is different than the original attraction, but the spirit is still the same.

With that being said, I'm fine with seeing the attraction go to make way for something new. It's had it's time, and it will be great to have something new and fun in that part of the park.

Beginning can just generally me the beginning...not the actual first scene. He's obviously talking about "New World Bound."

I LOVE SGE. There, I said it. I know I'm gonna get a bunch of hate comments, but please stick with me.

I was terrified of SGE when I was a kid because of a YouTube video I watched of it. Multiple people screaming in the dark was not my cup of tea. my parents however, really wanted me to ride it. This was mostly because they we tired of doing the same thing every Disney trip, which I can understand. I finally got to courage to go on it, but I only made it to the talking robot scene. I then proceeded to cry and scream, and we got escorted out by a cast member. The second time I tried to ride it, I physically got in the seats. The restraints came down and I was fully immobile. The ride started the countdown of 3...2......1 and then immediately went to 1...2.....3. The ride broke and I was free! When I finally went on the ride, it was so exhilarating. I finally conquered my fear (and the animatronic was pretty cool)! So why many people think of this ride as a cheap reskin of Alien Encounter (which it is), I think of it as a childhood memory I will never forget.

Do any of you love a ride that everybody else hates? I would love to read your answers.
Don’t know if people “hate” it and it isn’t a ride necessarily, but I am absolutely nuts about LWTL at Epcot. I just love it. Especially love the yellow farm house that we always pass by way too fast. I want to live in that house. Is there any hidden Disney trivia behind that house? I think the dog in the yard is supposed to be Walt’s dog?? Or is that Carrousel of Progress. Anyway, even the smell inside that attraction is just so Disney. I know, I am a weirdo!!!! Even did a GG breakfast just to get a different look. It is all just so quentissential Epcot. And then the surprise of riding thru the sunny area where the plants are growing. Never gets old. Wish there were more things like this.
