What ride do you like that everyone else hates?

I LOVE SGE. There, I said it. I know I'm gonna get a bunch of hate comments, but please stick with me.

I was terrified of SGE when I was a kid because of a YouTube video I watched of it. Multiple people screaming in the dark was not my cup of tea. my parents however, really wanted me to ride it. This was mostly because they we tired of doing the same thing every Disney trip, which I can understand. I finally got to courage to go on it, but I only made it to the talking robot scene. I then proceeded to cry and scream, and we got escorted out by a cast member. The second time I tried to ride it, I physically got in the seats. The restraints came down and I was fully immobile. The ride started the countdown of 3...2......1 and then immediately went to 1...2.....3. The ride broke and I was free! When I finally went on the ride, it was so exhilarating. I finally conquered my fear (and the animatronic was pretty cool)! So why many people think of this ride as a cheap reskin of Alien Encounter (which it is), I think of it as a childhood memory I will never forget.

Do any of you love a ride that everybody else hates? I would love to read your answers.

Small World. Never understand why people bash the song. It’s cheerful, catchy, and embodies that of Disney! There’s a lot to look at, and I love the peaceful ride through all the different countries looking at the costumes, buildings, animals, and embellishments. Even the sound of the boat going bumpbumpbump after loading and then the transition into smooth sailing of the water makes me smile. :)

I absolutely agree! It's a great ride to get off your feet and just soak up all the Disney magic. It's those little things like the bumping of the Small World vehicle or the smell of POTC that make Disney special.

some here:
- it's a small world
it's a cute little ride
- buzz lightyear
I remember having a lot of fun on this one, sure it is redundant now, but still a fun little ride
not disneyworld:

I actually really liked the carnival game theme here. Sue me. Being my first drop ride doesn't help much.

It's a Small World. I don't get why people say its creepy, the message is still relevant today and the animatronics still never cease to amaze me. Same thing with Tiki Room.

I'm also pretty sure I was one of the 0.01% of people that still rode UoE every time I was at EPCOT. I really hope they do something with those dinosaurs, they're classics. I know realistically they'll never be seen again but they were so good...IIRC, they were from the World's Fair, right?

I remember Small World, Mr, Lincoln, & CoP from the Worlds Fair but not the dinosaurs from UoE. Are they?

I see a lot of love for IaSW. I suspect y'all never got STUCK in said ride... 😲

Seriously though, it's classic WDW. The funky water smell that we all love, the click-click-clack of the lil' AAs everywhere and an upbeat (if not terribly repetitive) soundtrack.

I liked Alien Encounter. Turns out a lot didn't. *sigh* Look what we ended up with.

I'm the only one in my family who enjoys Carousel of Progress. My kids are the only ones who like the Tomorrowland Speedway. We all hated Stitch. Everything else is enjoyed at some level by everybody in the family.
