What is the "major announcement" Uni is making on Thursday?

Thats an alternative, but I was disappointed about the quality of food in San Francisco so Im a bit sceptical now.
I've had great Italian meals in both of those locales. Small, intimate, family-run restaurants. The only difference between the two is that you can't walk in the North End and find shops with knock-off designer goods like you can on Mulberry or Canal (and remember to have Mrs. Sak ask to see the goods in the "back").

Wow, its just like my local mall. I wonder if I should stop going to my local malls food court and save the experience for City Walk?

Jimmy Thick- Whole lotta nothin'.
You can say the same for Springs.

This is an occasion by the looks of it that Comcast is playing catch up to Disney. And finally it's generating the healthy competition we wanted between the two where the guest is in a win-win.

Breaking it down ...

Cold Stone/Melchies--both decently known national chains, but both with a fairly higher-end reputation. Fits nicely with Starbucks/Moes/Panda Express. There is nothing wrong with trading off the name recognition of a high end chain.

Antojitos--could be just another Mexican joint like Cantina de San Angel, could be a really good Mexican place. Ditto the Italian place.

Bread Box/Hot Dog Hall of Fame: fairly new chains. Helps meet the quick-serve needs CityWalk has. DTD would have been wise to jump on these (and supposedly were in the running for the latter years ago).

Cowfish: small chain, new to 90% of guests, innovative idea.

Well, considering Springs isn't supposed to open until 2016 (at the earliest), one could argue Disney will need to catch up to them....

I wouldn't call this major, just a nice announcement confirming what was leaked still wish there was some more concept art though! (That's not to say this expansion isn't major it is, but this announcement was given the hype up quite a bit, I expected something we didn't see coming)

That's incredible! Is your local mall CityWalk?

Red Oven, Antojitos, Pranzos, and Bread Basket are all unique to Universal, and a couple of the others are small chains that I'm willing to bet aren't in your mall.

But, really, anyone who's read more than two of your posts knows that you're not about accuracy.

A pizza place, a Mexican restaurant, an Italian restaurant and a deli. They are pushing the creative envelope aren't they.

I thought there were going to be attraction announcements? Kind of disappointed.

Everyone's known all along that the announcement for December is on CityWalk. If the fast-tracked JP expansion is opening next holiday season, it'll be announced in the March-June time frame with some hints dropped for Kong (a slight tease) and maybe even The Lorax ride (could still be on track for summer 2016)

Love what Universal are doing with attraction additions in the parks, but this line up is not very exciting. Nothing really unique, and not very exciting to look at. Nothing here to bring me into CityWalk.
