What is the first thing you buy?

My wife and I do the same thing. We usually purchase a frosty, fermented beverage and kind of wander a bit prior to check in or if we need to wait for our room. Its the perfectly start to a vacation.

depending on what resort I am checking in.... if I am checking in at:

AKL... as soon as paper works are done... I run down to MARA and grab some zebra domes Yummmmmmmy!!!

Poly..... def'ly grab at dole at the CS and some hawaiin flatbreads!!!!! unless I can get in for breakfast time at Kona def'ly Tonga toast!!!!

POP: grab a tie dye cheesecake and hit the bus to a park!!!

BWV: def'ly the bakery or ESPN for some dingers then off to walk it off by going to a park...

hihihi as you can see... I tend to start my day at WDW with something sweet!!!!!!!!

I too love the MK popcorn. As for first purchases, it is usually an autograph book or something we forgot for the camera (usually batteries). :brick:

Autograph book/pen (but sadly I think those days may be coming to an end) and refillable mugs. Kids are growing out of autographs and now want their OWN mug.

I really like the question, makes me think about my trips which really makes me smile.

For me the first thing I buy down in Orlando when I get there are supplies at Walmart. A couple cases of bottled water for the parks, a few beer for the room, snacks to bring in the parks like granola bars, crackers, beef jerkey.

First thing I buy every time in a park is a bit dull, but it's the same with every park... locker rental.

First real purchase is almost always food of some sort, usually a breakfast item if at HS (Farifax Fare after getting a fast pass for TSMM and riding it, then riding both ToT and ARR) , AK (Kusafiri Coffee Shop after getting a fast pass for Everest and riding it once) or Epcot (Sunshine Season Food Fair after getting Soarin' fast pass, and potentially riding it), MK is a toss up between having a baked good (donut or something at the bakery or waiting a bit for a funnel cake usually after getting a fast pass for SM and riding it).

Souvenirs happen whenever we see something of interest that we really must have, it's never the same thing, but often it's t-shirts, or a ball cap.

Mine is lunch at our resort. We usually arrive at our resort around 2:00 pm very hungry.

It's always a very exciting lunch! My SO usually enjoys it. I'm always trying to eat super quick so we can head off to a park.

I think the first thing I buy varies from trip to trip, but it is definitely usually is food related. My first serious purchase of a trip however, is usually a personalized christmas ornament for my DS.

Add me to the autograph book list (if we are talking about entering the parks, if it is the resort as a whole I guess it would be a hotel room ). My kids hit me up for them the second we get to park gates and since they sell them right when you walk in (either MK or DL) I end up getting that purchase over with right away.

Well I will be at HS on Tuesday March 1 and I will check out new pins under the hat. I am actually better at saying what ride I will hit first and that will be Toy Story. :sohappy:

My first Orlando purchase is usually a bottle of water from the vendor near the Magical Express desk, after the trials of immigration at the airport.

Then on arrival at our hotel it will be a refillable mug closely followed by a nice cool reviving beer :slurp:

Well... for my upcoming trip (in 8 days!) we're departing Boston at 7AM and landing at 10:55. I figure by the time the ME drops my a$$ off at the BC it will be 11:45-12:00. I'll likely throw my bags down and make my way to MK.

Possibilities:
1) Main St USA Popcorn, so damn tasty and fresh.
2.) T Shirt, because I don't own many.
