What is an EMO?

Could someone please enlighten me. I hear these kids talking about them all the time and I cannot figure them out?

Are they the artsy, sensitive kids OR the kids who are over-emotional and on the brink of disaster?

Anyone have an idea?

They're the over-emotional suicidal kids that dress up in all black and listen to Green Day (Although I'm not saying all Green Day listeners are emo). Basically they look like Goths, except they're even stupider (No offense to NowInc )

And alot of emo kids tend to look kinda like this: (or so I'm told... :lookaroun )

And some have glasses like this:

Oh god, I forgot about the girl pants! Theres this one kid at school who wears them, but they are so much tighter than what most guys would wear. He put cuts in to them so he could get them on. My friend and I saw him one day and my friend says "Look, it looks like he got dressed wearing all his little sisters clothes!"

Well, they're punk and they're music sucks (Well, they used to make some good songs like Time of Your Life), which isn't far off from emo. I was thinking of Simple Plan, but I get all of those popular crappy bands confused.
