What I think...as of today...for now...

I don't have an issue with questioning things. It would be good however to have a substance to the claims, or make the "questions" more specific. It appears all you want to do is just stir up the pot.

Blindly stating that the project is behind, without any knowledge of the actual construction schedule, and then standing by the claim is lunacy.

This thread is like arguing over the color of beige or off-white...

I never said it is behind I'm fairly certain. It has the appearence of being stalled. That is an opinion and not stated as a fact. There is a difference.

As I said earlier I would love for someone to show some actual substantial progress because I'm just not seeing it.

When did I "blindly state the project is behind"? I think there are 3 or 4 posters here trying to argue with me by misrepresenting what I say in hopes of starting an argument but I will not argue.

I just enjoy discussing the subject of WDW's future. It is interesting and fun.

I think most people are taking the following posts as you stating its behind.

At this rate it will open as the largest picnic area in theme park history.

That is what they are saying. But if DCA is any indication it is going to be tough to meet that deadline.

And everyone is assuming the kids coaster is greenlighted already but I have seen nothing in the rumor mill that indicates it has. So 2012 seems a bit optimistic with all the changes occuring to the plan.

If that's not you blatantly stating it's behind, I don't know what is.

And if you post in a thread that he has marked like a dog, he will no longer respond to that thread. Don't we wish it worked in all threads!
All I can say is he/she is lucky that Steve is such a nice guy. I would have sent him/her packing quite some time ago as I can honestly not think of a single positive thing that he/she has contributed to this site.

IMO it looks like they are indeed behind on this project. Honestly has anyone seen any physical progress in the last few weeks? I know I haven't noticed any...

Site prep work and foundation work is always a time consuming task. So much work has to done before concrete can be poured.

It won't be long now before vertical construction begins. The hyperbole passed around here is worse than gas at the Texas Chili Cookoff.....

And I'm just glad Lee and Juan have the fortitude to not let the pratter that's tossed out not prevent them from giving us the updates as they receive them....

Like most of us in the construction field have said the site prep work takes quite a bit of time and to the untrained eye looks like nothing more than dirt being moved from one place to another. It is not uncommon to see projects of this size to take months before it goes vertical.

One large project I worked on spent about 4 months in site prep work but within a week of walls going up we were delivering the roof. The time from the first wall being set to being dried in took about 2.5 weeks.

That is why we started a thread in chit chat. There is a thread called "just the facts" you might like better. This thread is for is for speculation.
Actually, from the very first page, we have this gem.
Again, let's keep this thread free of any wild speculation or opinion.

Has this really been going on for over half a decade?

You have keen powers of observation.

I'll keep scanning, searching and mining the web daily for any new signs of progress and will post anything I find here.

All well and good if you were familiar with construction and therefore knew what is an actual sign of progress.

But you scan, search, and mine the posts when people prove you wrong and ignore all of those posts.
