Trip Report What Happens After the Girls Cruise…

I’m finally writing part 2!! Woo hoo!! It’s taken me forever to get to this part! So sorry for those that have waited patiently. :) Life, holidays and a few other trips slowed me down. This is part 2 of my girls’ cruise trip report. And while there is no actual cruising in this part, there are several girls’ cruisers, and a few other WDWMagic members, who make appearances!

Who: Me! And some other members! Like I said. :) Here I am with my roomie for the week @DisneyHeather:

When: September 13-18, 2013

What: 6 Nights at the Contemporary

Why: Well because it’s Disney of course. But also because of a work trip. The work trip followed the girls’ cruise by just a few days, so it seemed silly to go all the way home. Am I right?

Day 2 – Villains Tonight!

With no alarm set today I slept until 8:30. It was kind of luxurious.

I feasted on a breakfast of Tootsie Rolls and Coke Zero courtesy of @DisneyDebNJ and @Sans Souci from the cruise. It was awesome. :)

I decided I should probably do some laundry so I put a load in and camped out in the room to work for a little while. I was meeting Jenell and Suzanne in the Magic Kingdom today for lunch at Be Our Guest, so I had some time to kill.

Until I totally forgot to put my clothes in the dryer. Ah man!! :banghead:

I realized it when it was about time to leave and ran down the hall to put them in. I gave them 10 whole minutes and then resorted to spreading clothes out all over the room to dry. Thank goodness I didn’t have a roomie yet!

I was late by this point and so I literally jogged (gasp!) to the Magic Kingdom. Maybe I should say jogged interspersed with periods of brisk walking. :D

I’m sure I didn’t stop to take a picture of the gorgeous BLT while I was already running late? But evidence suggests otherwise:

Jenell had already gotten in when I arrived, but she assured me the line wouldn’t take long. It really didn’t, although it was miserably hot in line. And I mean miserably.

I’m here!

After a fun dinner with new friends, I said goodbye to head over to the Villains party at the Studios!

Not surprisingly the line for the bus to the Studios was the longest, but I got on. As I was riding over I was seeing some crazy tweets about the crowds and lines. Apparently some people were on their busses for an hour and a half or longer!

I didn’t care, I had no other plans and I was ready for the crowds. It probably took us about 45 minutes. :)

Monsters were here!

Oh my word. There were a few people here! My instagram photo:

I knew Siboan, Sherry, Pam, Marie and Betsy were near the lines board so I made my way towards them. There’s the stage way up there! The show was in full swing.

I just missed Marie and Pam and Betsy were done with the crowds so I hung out with Siobhan and Sherry for a little while. Bill and Heather were on their way to meet us too! We walked over to the American Idol stairs and met up with Courtney and her sweet hubby. We found out poor Jess had been in line for hours waiting to meet the villains. :jawdrop:

Bill and Heather caught up, everyone met and we decided to go for a spin on Star Tours. The ride lines were fine! It was just the villains that were insane!

Here's my instagram photo - we are ready to ride! Sherry, Siobhan, Bill and myself! WDWMagic’ers!

Heather did not ride because, as we later found out, was expecting! Yay! :)

After our ride we walked over to the Backlot and met up with Jess, Courtney, Mr. Howe and I think that was it. I’m sorry if I forgot someone!

Bill and Heather!

And me!

We rocked those ears, roomie :)

I still have no way in heck how you found my mom and I waving. Those crowds were insane. I'll admit people probably thought I was nuts waving in the middle of a crowd LOL

Glad you had a great time at the Villains party with everyone! :) And that food at Sanaa looked really good! One time I will have to try there!

Sanaa dinner was so interesting! Thanks for joining us! You're right about that spicy dish you had. Even Tracey couldn't eat it...which is frightening to me, really. When he cooks jambalaya we always fuss over seasoning. I think he makes it too spicy so I complain. What I whine about being too much bite he finds extremely bland. Weird. That chocolate dessert thing *made* that meal for me. That was soooooo amazing!

Looks like oodles of fun at the villians event. I'm loving all the details!

Meeting online friends. I sorta got over that years and years ago when I got involved with Cabbage Patch collector groups online. Tracey's youngest brother "met" his future wife in a Pearl Jam chat room online when he was away at Auburn. She lived in Canada. They've been married...oh...13 or so years I think????

Loving this report so far, Tammy! I was soooo jealous of all of you ladies that stayed to play and frolick in the parks after the cruise was over. I'm not-so-jealous of those villains crowds...although I'd be lying if I said I wouldn't have waited for Shen Yu and/or Oogie Boogie. :D

I was nervous meeting everyone too! The funniest part was how much I already knew about people from reading their trip reports...someone would be telling me a story and I'd almost have to physically hold my mouth shut to keep from blurting out, "Yeah, I know, I read that in your trip report!" like some sort of creep. o_O :joyfull:
Remember, you are "AWESOME" Jess!
Truer words have never been spoken.

It was meant to be I guess! :)

I definitely did!

That chocolate thing was the bomb.

I've gotten over it a little bit more each time I meet someone, but this trip went from being over it, to actually seeking out people! Everything we teach our kids not to do. :)

That's hilarious. 13 years!

Thanks for saying "poor Jess had been in line for hours to meet villains" instead of "stupid, stubborn Jess" because that is how I felt!!

I should get my photo with Shen Yu framed for all my efforts. Ugh.

I'm not saying that! Your Shen Yu picture was awesome. :)

See, Shannon would have been right there with you, Jen! :)

You are so right! It's funny how much I feel like I know people after reading their trip reports! We were all doing that, I'm sure!
