What happened to Adventureland expansion?

And you're sure of this, Lee?
Fairly sure.
As always there are plenty of concepts and proposals floating around, but I am unaware of anything actually moving forward at this point. Expansion-wise I mean. Plenty of little refurbs and such waiting to go.
I'd love to hear differently...

yea but the new tiki room sucks almost as bad

Are you serious? I hope you are trolling...because the current version (and the original it is the shortened version of) is a timeless classic that is quite honestly my favorite alltime Disney attraction since I first saw it at a little 5 year old boy in 71

Ummm...my standards of proof are a bit higher than just that!
I'll be needing multiple reports, details and maybe some art...

I can draw you a very lousy looking mermaid and add a boat with some tourists in Mickey ears floating by ... would that do it?

Good for you that this is your favorite attraction. But please don't attack forum members who don't agree with your assessment. In a popularity contest of Magic Kingdom attractions, the Tiki Birds are not going to fare very well.

What he said. I love the Tiki's and CBJ as well, and every visit I'm thankful they are both still there given the sparse crowds usually inhabiting the show. It would seem that the majority of guests do not share my view.

I suppose this is the silver lining to WDW not liking to take on new attraction projects unless forced...

Tiki Room on a busy day plays to full capacity shows during the peak times of 11 to 1800 which is pretty good for a show and even on slower days, still plays to pretty decent shows. The only time we ever have little crowds at the Tiki Room is early in the morning or late in the evening.

I think it is still riding the wave of being "new"...err..that is... "original" again. I think those who have not experienced it are curious - and those who remember it from years past will revisit it for nostagia. I am sure after about a year the numbers will drop off again, just as they are for Country Bears. I enjoy both shows, although I will admit they are typically what I do when lines are too long elsewhere.

I am very curious as to if either or both of these shows will be closed once the Fantasyland expansion is complete. The two rides there will ease up on lines elsewhere, and that could actually make these shows even less busy. It just seems like something management would jump on...

I'll give them credit (a very small amount) for for keeping these two and CoP around despite lack of crowds. We'd get upset, but the majority wouldnt care if they closed one of them each day on a rotating basis. Be nicer to update CoP and create multiple CBJ shows, but I'll be thankful for wht I cn get.

Not my experience, but if it's true, I'm happy.

It's missing a lot of effects like the water elements and it's basically just a cliff notes version now. They could have done better.

amen! That said, they were supposedly going to being added to the Disneyland version during it's big refurb last year but it thankfully did not happen.

Why are people so against improvements to current attractions? Oh wait... you don't think it's an improvement....

That would be SO cool to have the water AA's added to POTC!!!
