What else did you do?

Since Mom's thread is stirring up some memories; I was wondering where else did you go when there was nothing but Magic Kingdom and EPCOT? We used to make a day trip to Busch Gardens? Remember the Xanadu house? And I remember taking a tour of the Tupperware headquarters. And my dad dragging us to Gatorland Zoo.

We would make a side trip to Cyprus Gardens, or Sea World. I would usually stay with relatives in Tuscawilla. I didn't start staying onsite until the mid-eighties.

I just went back and reread this; I can't believe I wrote Cyprus (the Greek island) rather than Cypress, the tree! Arrrgh! I'm becoming illiterate in my old age!!!

Well when I was little we always spent 2 weeks in Key Biscayne.
We also traveled to Hershey, and throughout NY...Cooperstown, North Pole, NY to see Santa, Lake George, Frontiertown. Also spent summer weekends at my aunt's house in Staten Island. I remembering touring the Corning Glass Factory long before factory outlets became popular. I love taking my kids to see these places from my youth.

My Parents would take us to Sea World, Kennedy Space Center, Bush Gardens, Gatorland... and if we had the time, Cyprus Gardens.

Me too, my first trip was 1998.

My childhood holidays were spent on the Somme in France touring first world war battlefields with my parents!

Well, looking through old pictures, looks like we would go to Sea World. My aunt and her family used to live not far from WDW...so we would stay with them. And they were the other way we spent our time. So, either Sea World or being with our family was the way we spent our time with only MK and Epcot.
