What do you do in WDW when it rains all day?

Just curious as to what everyone else does in WDW when it rains all day. We have never been there when it was an all day rain but have been for an hour or so. What if you stepped outside and saw rain and it never let up? Has this happened to you or what would you do?

During a few hours if we are in the parks, we go on rides that are indoors, like most people, I am sure.

Buy some ponchos, put anything that could get water damaged in a plastic bag, then run around the parks like a kid on a rainy day and enjoy the fact that less people are outside!

I'm an optimist, by the way, haha...

Haha you took the words right outta my mouth

I'd probably end up relaxing in the hotel all day, no matter how much I say I'd be in the parks.

Run from attraction to attraction while getting soaked (not something I enjoy doing, but hey) and wait in the shorter lines because throngs of people have left the park. :-)

You do anything you want--with bare minimal waiting.

All day long.

You'll dry--eventually.

Well if you really look at it, think of how many attractions are indoors. It is still a pain to walk around in the rain but hey, you're at Disney, grab a poncho.

Never had it happen all day in more than two dozen visits. But I'd get pancho and carry on. Might move to Epcot, where virtually everything is inside and there are usually multiple things to do at each location.

Does anyone else have a poncho collection because you forget to pack the ones you already have? I think I have about a dozen or so. :)

We've been at the water parks during rain (no lightning, of course), and the crowds are much lighter. Hey, you're going to get wet anyway.

Ponchos definately ! That happend to us a couple of trips and we just put on our ponchos and kept going it was great almost no waiting for anything. I also liked the idea about Disneyquest but something to consider is everyone else might have that same idea and it might be crowded. We never went there in the rain so I'm really not sure.

Ill do like several folk here have already stated. Except, Ill pull out one of my old ponchos from a past trip(gotta save on some money) and walk through the rain and get on as much as possible.

This depends if Im already at a theme park. If Im back at like the resort, it would really depend on how Im feeling and where Ive been the day before, and how many days I have left and stuff. I may just hit disney quest.

I remember one of the coolest times I've ever been in Epcot was when there was a huge storm; we got "stuck" in Japan (oh darn) and it was raining so heavily that we weren't comfortable leaving the pavillion. Because we were there, we took the time to explore even more in the pavillion and caught another Miyuki show...poor thing had to brave the rain and wind to make it to her stand.

Once the rain was done, the park was empty and we saw the most beautiful sunset I think I've seen in my life...simply gorgeous. Rain at WDW isn't really a problem-- in fact, you'll probably get to do more and notice more than you would otherwise!

Just to add, there is always the chance of a little pop up shower out of no where so always bring along the ponchos. We were at MK and the day was so sunny and great and out of nowhere a huge storm popped up, too bad it didn't drive any crowds away. After it, it was all sunny again. So always be prepared!

Hot or cold?

I love the rain when it is hot....forget about ponchos! I just get wet!

When it is cold (Dec/Jan) is a bit different story, but we usually keep going. It is a bit tougher now that we have the little ones! :animwink:
