What Disney movie needs a dark ride

Have to agree with others who mentioned Aladdin and Robin Hood. I would also add that Fantasia (both), 101 Dalmatians and Sleeping Beauty also deserve their own attractions whether a dark ride or in some other capacity. Yes I am aware Fantasia has a presence in Fantasmic and its own mini golf course and Sleeping Beauty has the walk through in Disneyland but I think the Mouse could truly make amazing attractions for these IP's.

Lion King. It’s just shoved into all the nighttime shows, or any show in general. Never had an actual “attraction”. Unless you want to count Festival, Philharmagic, or Legend of The Lion King prior to that, but again, all shows. Slapped into Happily Ever After, Rivers of Light (rip), and I think a small part in Fantasmic??? not sure. but yeah, show after show after show. Oh yeah, can’t forget the one in EPCOT where awesome planet is now. Show.

THIS! Lion King is LONG overdue. So many parts work really well in a dark ride. Of course the incredibly sad killing of Mufasa, Simba-Pumbaa-Timon on a log, a scary scene with the Scar and Shenzi-Banzai-Ed scaring Simba, Simba's return to fight Scar, and of course Simba holding his son in the air. With Disney's excessive use of projections on rides these days, I'm sure they could pull this off and it'd be pretty awesome.

Ed needs his own goofy scene too...

I've had a small inch of hope come to me after the remake came out (not saying I want a remake version of a dark ride), but after the Beauty and the Beast remake, they did end up getting something else, even if it were relatively small, it's not to say Lion King would get something so small. Still a chance. Even if it'd take a while post Covid.

How about a non-IP all original attraction instead?
Those days are long gone.

Oliver and Company

Travel through 80s NY following Oliver's story. Start downtown in the city, move up town, end with a thrilling chase along the Brooklyn Bridge. Scent machine could include hot dog water, garbage, perfume and fog.

Dark Ride for Animal Kingdom:

The Rescuers Down Under Adventure
Save the animals from Mcleach!

You are in a tractor like vehicle and you have to "save" the animals from the poacher Mcleach. Each room you drive through, you obtain an animal for the rescue, but you have to drive fast and watch out for Mcleach. He almost catches you at the end, but then the Rescuers sabotage Mcleach's vehicle just in time so he can't reach you. You escape and the they all live happily ever after.

(^This idea comes into the thought of a possible re purposing of Dinosaur's ride track and just re-theming the entire ride to a more of an animal preservation idea like Kilimanjaro Safaris.)

The Rescuers Down Under with George C Scott as the villain was one that had me from the beginning. If you reconnected with a similar story line, ( kids in peril) with a gravelly voice villain youd have a hit dark ride. But alas, with what I'd have in mind, Disney would see it as too dark and scary for kids.

Now that’s a shot in the dark ride. Too soon?
I have to say, that's the one movie I have refused to buy in all it's many releases. I think it traumatized me as a young child. I first had the Little Golden Record that'd I'd play on my record player. Then when I was about 7 I saw it when they rereleased it in the theatre and I cried when they killed Bambi's mom (and when the forest caught fire). And I refused to let my kids watch it when they were little...
I cry at Dumbo, but at least they didn't kill Mrs. Jumbo. Bambi is just too sad for me!!🤧 I may need therapy! 😂
