Weekday 3-4-3 done. Pick your weather: Tuesday 55, Wednesday 65, today 41. Actually normal for late February in Georgia. Trees are starting to bloom. Point series 5K this Saturday.

Jealous. I'm a Texas grad. Miss the Town Lake trails.

By any chance did you go to UT Austin? We toured there for my son while we were in town. Beautiful school. Probably his top choice but not sure he'll get in given that they only take 10% of the class from out of state.

As for me, 3.5 miles on TM Monday night. Same thing planned for later today.

Points series 5K this morning. Big turnout for this area. It was a bit hilly and I was about a minute behind my PR.

Saw a first this morning: Cigarette smokers at a race.

My wife is one of those. I've tried so many times to get her to quit. But, I also know how hard it is to do, quitting after 16 years at 1 1/2 packs a day about 4 years ago

2.66@2i, 1@7:40, 1@7:30, .66@7:20. Finding neg splits to be easier/more enjoyable than the overall faster pace lately. Not sure why. Need to get those numbers back down a bit before race season starts up though, a smidge high for my liking.

Been outta pocket for a few days. Did 7 miles on Saturday in the 20+ degree weather. Wanted to wait for the 40+ degree weather on Sunday but alas scheduling wouldn't allow it. Another 4.5 last night when it was actually over 50 degrees. The weather this winter has been absolutely nuts. But given that the amount of snow and seriously cold days have been quite minimal, I can't really complain.

Yep. When I went there it was easier to get in.

Got any connections? Tips?

Eh, got to the gym 20 mins late today. Our DS decided to wake up 5 mins after I did, which screws up the morning, never mind his nap schedule. 1.5@2i@6:58p

Ha! I'm a nobody. There was actually a small scandal when it was discovered politicians were getting friends and donors around the requirements.

The only tip I know of is to get into to a system school (UTA, UTSA, etc.) and transfer to Austin later.

Another 3-4-3 done. Tuesday I was feeling it and almost ran race pace. Today I wasn't.

My Star Wars Half plan says just do a 5K this weekend but I want a long run so I can have my cheat day. Might have to ignore the plan.

Yeah, I've heard that. If we were local he might consider it, but not from NY.

Anyway, 4.5 miles for me on Monday and 4 on Wednesday. I'm hoping that the light snow we had outside this morning was the last of the winter.
