Have I told you lately that I 👍 you?
For everyone who has had races cancelled/postponed due to the quarantine, Vacation Races and Virtual Running Club are offering a hilarious virtual option.

“Stay Home” Virtual Race

I’m not one who usually goes for the virtual races, mainly because I’m blessed to live locally to some great options, but this popped up on my FB feed and I couldn’t resist! I’ll be running a half on the 19th anyway in lieu of the SW Rival Run, so I figured why not. 😂
Whelp, I’m a sucker for something that clever and signed up. I actually got 13.26 in this afternoon, so I figured I might as well get a medal for it 😜

Past few days have been low of 70 and high of 90. I am NOT ready for summer temps yet. Decided it was no longer safe to run the lake trail as of last week which means I'm relegated to my hilly neighborhood which really hurts my hips. Looks like I'll be doing my short runs outdoors and my longer weekend runs on the TM for the time being which sucks but I will do it.
That‘s great that your daughter has started running with you. Mine only does so when I bribe her, and then she grumbles so much it isn’t worth it...
Now that the lake trail she liked is not available to her, she's not as eager to run. I get it. She hasn't had 20 years to build up a dedication to running like I have. I hope she sticks with it though.

Something different today, Ran 9 holes on our closed golf course. Very hilly, more like a trail run. Calves are burning. And ANOTHER cold front, temps dropped to the low 40s after I put up the winter second quilt.

The neighborhood got together and hired a management group to get our course back open, hopefully this fall. So I took a run to check progress. 9 holes turned out to be about 3 miles. Might try for 18 next week.

Ran 3.35 miles this morning. My program was set for a 5km but I wasn’t quite all the way up the hill when it was over so to be able to say “I did it” I continued to the top. And then when I got to the top, the light was green so I told myself that was a sign to continue my run to the front door of my building.
