What did you do?

havent done a thing due to the same. 70 year old records around 110F are being broken atm

We didn’t get quite so high - « only » around 100F but humid 😕. And last weekend I figured the 15+ km I walked per day at DLP counted for something, so I didn’t feel too bad about my week off 😉. (By the way, I’m hoping they finish whatever works they are doing between the Newport Bay and the Village, as that walkway was closed off, as was the walkway between the Cheyenne and the New York - all that will make for an interesting half marathon course in September!)

Still nice here in the Southeast. Got out Saturday at 0730 for 4 miles, a very pleasant 70F. We're supposed to stay high 60s for lows this week. I'll take it for almost August.

Finally did the Iron Man 5k over the weekend. Training for W&D starts tomorrow.

What's this 60 degree weather y'all are talking about? It's a muggy 76° in my town right now.
About 300 miles northeast of you. But those temps are at 0530.

Bumped up a bit this AM to 71 for my 0530 run but lows are dropping back into the 60s here starting tonight.

Still going to be in the 70s overnight here. ☹️

Sounds like everyone is managing with the heat. Same here with early runs and my treadmill which now has a TV in front of it. I'm so happy to be rid of that awful TM I had for the last 2 years in NY and back to the brand I loved before that (Horizon).
Be careful with the hills. I moved from a flat neighborhood to a hilly one and messed up my right foot. Doc said it was the steep downhills that got me. I'm OK now after treatment but I have a bit of numbness. Doc said it's not going to hurt me long term.
Sorry you have to deal with that. You know those old stories about how our grandparents had to walk five miles each way to school and both ways were all uphill? Well I would swear that is true of the running paths around here - I feel like I am always going uphill and never downhill, no matter which direction I start! LOL

@dreamfinder I hope the knee feels better.

I'm exploring new routes in my 'new' neighbourhood (been living here for 10 months now). There is an amazing park with just a walker/runner/bike path with a mark at every 100m. The entire lap is 8KM with no stress of cars or traffic lights.
It's around 1500 meters from my house, so with a little back and forth to it, I found the perfect 10KM/6.2m lap.

Did it today in 50:22. Weather was around 70 degrees.

This was also the start of my new training schedule (I'm actually training!!) preparing for a marathon end of oktober. It's the 14K thing I mentioned before.

2.5 miles, 73F at 0530 but a very nice breeze helped with the humidity. I was going to bump up my mileage but I'm going to wait until after the SW:GE preview. That will be about time for W&D training to start. 3 more months?
