What did you do?

Whats the idea? Put yourself in that harnass thing and let it give resistance while you try to run off the band? instead of the normal direction?

I think it's kind of like a stationary bike. You can set the resistance on the belt, and do the running that way. I think the harness lets you simulate things like running wearing a parachute or doing a sled pull.

2.59 miles outside. In these...

Yes, those are the new Ghost 10s, in my favorite color. My last pair of Nimbus 17s are only good for yard work and I'd started breaking in a pair of 18s.... Each successive generations of Asics Nimbus have gotten shorter and the toe box narrower. And they are heavy, but have amazing cushioning, important for us older runners. I've been reading a lot of Runners World articles online about shoes, comparing Brooks to Asics. Was worried how squishy Brooks would feel after wearing Asics for several years. Read that the new Ghost 10s had more cushioning in the sole than previous models. Read that Asics had fixed the narrow toe box problem with the Nimbus 20s. But many readers said it was still tight. I was already wearing a full size larger and a wide width and the shoes still felt a little tight. Looked at the Cumulus, but the Nimbus was what I wanted. Went to my local sports stores to see if I could try on a pair of Nimbus 20s. Didn't carry them. All they had were the 19s, that disaster of a shoe. Amazon had a few 20s, but nothing in my size. But they had the new Ghost 10. So I got a pair in both medium and wide to try. When they arrived, I took the pair of mediums out of the box...was surprised at how roomy the toe box was. Put them on. Fell in love. Decided to keep the wide width for walking, especially around Disney. My pair of barely worn Nimbus 18s will become my gym shoes. And I ordered another pair of Ghost 10s for when these pretty things wear out.

They look amazing! I never heared of the brand Brooks.

I biked today. 20.5 KM towards the place where my students had their march past. 18 km back (shorter route because I didnt shop groceries). 12.5M & 11M, making a total of almost 40 KM/ 23.5M.

All up tempo (pace above 20KM/H)

They are excellent shoes and considered one of the top running shoe companies. It's a shame what Asics did to one of their top shoes.

Just found out our local running store was purchased by Fleet Feet and reopened in the same location yesterday. Any of you familiar with them? I understand they have locations through the country. And can do 3d images of your foot to help with shoe selection.

@LAKid53 - pretty ;). I've been running in Brooks Launch 4 and 5s for the past year. Learned that often the color selection is more limited in Europe, which is kind of a bummer :(.

Ran in a 10k race this evening. Wish the organizers would find a better solution for the walkers and Nordic walkers than making announcements "to let the runners go first" (this same information is in the event guide as well). Even at my relatively slow pace I always spend the first five minutes overtaking walkers who are supposed to start after me!

Sun, did an almost 5mi race, think it was literally 4.97something miles with my DW and DM, so while it was a PR for the distance, not even close to a fast pace. Then did another 3 1/4 miles on my own afterwards, ran back to the house while my DW and DM drove.

One of our local stores did the same a few years ago, they flipped from the local chain they had been a part of, to Fleet Feet. I think it's a franchise though, not actually owned by Fleet Feet. Since the change they seem to sponsor more local races, and now have access to Fleet Feet exclusive colorways on shoes, can't say much beyond that. Service was about the same as before, but the fitting process didn't change. Asked what I was using, recommended a few similar, and let me take em for a spin on a TM if I wanted. I still have a few other stores that are still locally owned/operated/not franchises, and I'm eligible for discounts at those that I'm not at Fleet Feet so it's not at the top of my list, other than offering a different selection if I need to completely swap shoe models.

Today, and some other days: resting. Had a slight car accident ... :/

Doh. Hope it's nothing serious.

Local 10K Saturday, first run since Dark Side/First Order/whatever. Felt good, time was just OK. Back on schedule this week but it's spring/summer short race season.

Since there are no more Anaheim races, looked at the Rock and Roll series. Signed up for Arizona in January, 5K and half.
