What an exciting day!

This morning mom and I got a shocking phone call...... my sister went into labor three months early! So we all called into work and went up to the hospital. We waited for a while and finally my brother-in-law came out smiling...... the baby had been born and was doing fine.

After a few hours we got to see the baby in her incubator. She's so precious! I got to touch her hand and she grabbed onto my finger! (She wouldn't let Grandma touch her!)

Please keep my niece in your thoughts and prayers. Hopefully she'll be healthy enough to go home in 6 weeks!

Update:

Emily is doing great! She's been getting a little fussy, trying to pull out her tubes.

Her arms are so long! Her hands reach all the way down to her knees. She's "Mommy's little spider monkey!":lol:

Mom got to go home from the hospital last night. We're trying to arrange for her to stay at the Ronald McDonald house until Emily gets to go home too.

I noticed something funny today. I had one of Emily's diapers and I decided to compare it to another common object for size. I've concluded that Emily truly is a half pint!

Another Emily update!

Emily is doing great! She's now off her oxygen and other assorted tubes. Now she only has her feeding tube. She may move up to the next room as early as this week. This means I may get to hold her on Friday!
