well over a year ago.. "mouse Merf" stated that a new ride or Mountain was coming to Epcot.. of course he did the announcement in some cryptic fashion like HYCOU ( spel) or something.. and it was to be a mountain in Japan..

so where is the ride and when is it coming?

I am not trying to dig up old wounds, I just want to know if and when this ride is going to appear...

There was a plan to have a ride based on Mt Fuji, but Kodak is a major sponsor and would not like to have a ride themed and or called Fuji, a big competitor in film and camera sales.

Yes It Does!

No, it doesn't.
The ride would have been (or still will be, eventually)
'Mt Fuji: Crazy Subtitle Here'
not
'Fujifilm's Extreme Mountain'

Just because the name of the company and the name of the mountain are the same doesn't mean one and the other are the same. And it also doesn't mean that Kodak could say anything about it either way. Kodak can't afford to take a stand like you are implying that they did.

I do think they would protest though.

It was Kodak, after all, that changed Figment from being green to purple back in 1981.;)

Yeah Kamikaze is right. This is just an Internet rumor and nothing more. Kodak had absolutely nothing to do with MT. Fuji not being built at Epcot

Oh Really? Fuji Film offered to sponsor the construction of the mountain. Kodak threatened to pull their sponsorships - guidebooks, film, photo locations, Imag - if it happened. Eisner had to decline Fuji, and never let Kodak forget it.

Anyhow, the mountain project was briefly looked at a few years ago but nothing more. The area however - in particular the Meet the World showbuilding - is considered to be coming onstage instead of backstage when the bean counters say yes.

For something as quick as a bullet, maybe?
