Well, Universal may think WDW announcements are pending...

I wouldn't be surprised if a major TL refurb was coming soon. SGE has been received as one of the worst WDW attractions ever built and MILF was meant to be a temporary attraction. With both sides of COP being leveled off what could this mean?

No longer holding my breath...
I never do.
Wait, I think Little Mermaid could be announced for WDW at D23 Expo! We kind of forgot about that, but it's a definite possibility for an announcement next week.

It's likely that it's not going to make it by the October, 2011 deadline for the 40th Anniversary, unless the bulldozers move in to start clearing earth the Monday after D23 Expo ends. But, Jay could still announce that it's on the way for WDW next week.

I really think people will be satisfied with the amount of WDW info and news released next week at D23 Expo. Burbank has to realize that they need to say something about WDW plans. They just have to
.
You would be surprised....:dazzle:
Most of Tomorrowland is too new to go under the knife though. I don't see a Tomorrowland change coming anytime soon.
It was supposed to have a large aesthetic change, however...That seems like it was traded in for FL.

Your getting Star Tours 2 and be thankful your getting that (Parks Division and TDO weren't exactly eager for it).

Little Mermaid is planned for EVENTUAL clonning in all the MK parks worldwide (which has been the plan for 20 years now). However, from what I understand it's going to be a DCA exclusive for at least a year (they really want to market it as only @ DCA).

I've already made my view of "New Fantasy" clear. It's probably either a bogus internet rumor or a diversion or a group of imagineers trying to get it out in the public to gain support (see Discoveryland and Little Mermaid).

IF anything is announced for WDW, and thas a stretch, I think it will be a surprise just like the Marvel acquistion and the Shangai Disneyland unvieling (:zipit:).

I agree with the people saying it's going to be Tomorrowland. Everbody whos everybody knows that Disney was planning for the longest time to bulldoze Skyway/Galaxy Theather/COP/and a chunk of TTA to build a massive Incredibles (super heroes in TLand?) e-ticket. These plans were later changed to save the COP but still use the rest of the land (I believe Lee said he saw an artist rendition that showed the COP surviving.) Now the word was Incredibles fell through once Universal snatched the robot arm for use in Harry Potter but could a new e-ticket be planned for the area (now using Wall-E, John Carter, or MARVEL superheroes? sorry epcot expo.)

Out of those choices, Wall-E would be my preference. It fits the best, and it's the best Pixar movie created.

John Carter would be my last choice. Sure it's on Mars, but it's about a Civil War vet on Mars. Not really future oriented.

Marvel would be my second choice, but it isn't gonna happen.

I hear land is being cleared all around the CoP. Why wouldn't they just move the CoP to Epcot where it belongs!? :brick:

Wall-E is horrible for the parks though. If I want to see an American wasteland and slobs in electric chairs all I have to do is sit on a park bench they don't need to build a ride for that.

Who says it has to be on the barren earth and not on the Axiom?

Yea but thats what I mean it's either going to be barren earth or the Axiom (slobs in electric chairs) and thats just gross.

Now if they do a Wall-E attraction using all robots and maybe some humans (please dont make them all gross looking) that would be cool

Wouldn't a John Carter/Princess of Mars attraction make more sense for WDW's pulp-inspired Tomorrowland though?

I think a JCoM ride would be awesome. I worry how well it would translate into a ride, though, but as you've pointed out the same can be said about WALL-E.

Imagine Disneyland's Indiana Jones Adventure....IN SPACE!

Ancient temples getting blown away by laser fire, scantly clad women, and encounters with 8 foot tall 6 armed martians with swords!

Agree with you on WALL-E :D That NEEDS to be in Tomorrowland.

I agree, but then again, I don't.

It would work SO WELL in Innoventions. It's MADE for it, practically.

But it would be such a shame to loose one of "Walt's" attractions in the MK, you know? Nostalgically, it's still in a MK/Disneyland, in Tomorrowland, and still his, where he put it.:o

Touching, really...:o

That was part of the discoveryland proposal for Epcot

My very first impressions of the MK don't include the CoP, so I've never felt nostalgic about it. Man, I am old.

A part of that I liked! :D

And right, he didn't. He did want them to rely on human emotion, nostalgia and history, though.

Joking, joking...;)

So, what was 1971 MK like?

1975 MK was nice but it's much better now.

I some respects, I am sure it is. In others, I can even compare the 1993 MK to the 2009 MK and notice the loss of the charm and feeling it had. However, there is a whole new feeling it has now. Whether it's better or not is your perspective.
