Well, Universal may think WDW announcements are pending...

The only thing I can see happening, and the chances of this are incredibly slight IMO, is that Mermaid may be announced. Not all of Fland, but Mermaid.
That's what I had in mind, too.

I would still be happy, but I really do hope FL comes out of this. Besides JII, this project is needed, reasonable, and very, very cool.:D

maybe they will announce MK's new Tomorrowland e-ticket? They couldn't have bulldozed the galaxy theather and skyway station for no reason after all :lookaroun
Isn't it just for SM's new queue?

Double 23 is 46. Not 64.
Thanks for the random math fact.:)

Did you get an explanation from your source who said nothing was happening to the TL skyway station. Cause I've seen the pics, and that looks like something.

It also said that there would be a few surprises in the future of the parks description, after saying nothing about WDW. :lookaroun Eh Eh, anyone.

It also said there is going to be a muppets presentation of what they did in 2009 and their surprises for 2010.:lookaroun Anyone, anyone.

Well in case I haven't been reading enough that's all I've got, hope we end up getting an indoor themed ride designed like this- www.flickr.com/photos/36534966@N05/3888406153/

That article stated that the Harry Potter development at Universal is budgeted at $200 Million. That's not a lot in the theme park world. DCA is getting 1 Billion over three or four years. Heck, even one ride, Little Mermaid, has widely been reported to cost well over $100 Million.

$200 Million for this entire development doesn't convince me this new offering at Universal is the "Disney Killer" that forces TDO to quake in terror and plan massive expansion across WDW property.

You need to drop that. They have told you numerous times that is not why they named it 64.

Way off.. It's "Journey Into Your Celebration.. starring Stitch!"
:brick:

My bad!

Im really hope your joking that would be ridiculous considering they just got rid of the show. Anyone know what show could be replacing it.

I am, but I wouldn't be surprised if they did something with him on that stage.

I wouldn't get so hung up over the description for the D23 presentation where it says "a surprise or two" they are refering to:

Star Tours 2 (Disneyland and maybe Walt Disney World)
Captain Eo comeback (Disneyland)
Ratatouille trackless e-ticket (paris)

you ask me I think this whole "new fantasyland" thing is hogwash. Just another internet rumor like Bald/Villian Mountain.

Explain the leaked plans, Disney requesting the pulling of said plans, the rumors of it's budget, and the fact that no high ranking "insider" will talk about them....:lookaroun

Leaked Plans could have been a photoshop job. Someone on Miceage even said it looked like someone scanned an old blueprint of the origianl MK fantasyland and used photoshop/MSpaint to add the new stuff (If you look at it there is a difference between the old stuff on the map and the new stuff).

Do we know that Disney requested they be taken down? or did Steve request they be removed as a precaution? How comes none of the other sites such as Miceage had to remove them?

Oh and 6 days until the big reveal

Rumors of its budget? lol anyone can make up stuff like that based on Disney's track record

Every "high ranking insider" under the sun has commented from WDW'74 to Lee to Leemac to Al Lutz to Jim Hill etc. etc.

Even if the blueprints were real what does that mean? Jim Hill had a blueprint for Discoveryland at Epcot but it was just a bluesky exercise it wasn't greenlit and ready to go for construction. For all we know that New Fantasyland could have just been another exercise for the imagineers and was never seriously considered. Disney probably requested it be taken down because even though they aren't going to use it it the blueprints are still there private property.

6 days :dazzle:

Did Disney really request the plans be pulled??? If so, why didn't other sites comply??? Because, I can easily find them still online, just not on here. So, one of two things:

1) Steve pulled them because they are real, he knew it, and didn't want Disney to come down on him

OR

2) They are B.S, total B.S. and Steve doesn't allow total B.S. to be posted as fact on the site.

If Con is right, and no FL announcement is made in D23, then, is it possible they are waiting for October 1 to announce it at WDW???

Disinformation, keeps fan sites buzzing with plausable info while you set up a deal with a major comic company.

Because those sites are not as big as ours. :D And yeah, they asked for them to be pulled.

Oct 1 is always a good day for things, but why not when they do it all at D23?
