Well Here's My [Bib] Number, So Race Me Maybe - a Sept 2012 TR! P

Hey everyone, I'm back after another AWESOME trip to the World! And, without further ado, here is the TR (well, at least a start of it!).

The Facts:

• 48 hours
• 4 parks
• 7 rides
• 10 miles
• 2 Pascals
• 360 pictures
• As well as Instagram and cell phone photos!

And, amazingly I didn't even get to document it all in photo!


The Cast:
For starters, there is the MAIN cast of this TR, as well as a supporting cast... and then a BUNCH of Special Guests (sorry, Kenzie. I'm going to tell you now that I dropped the ball and forgot your stick at home! I'm sorry!!!).


For the cast, we have:
Me
Courtney, age 23, student teacher with some exciting news that will be announced possibly in this very post! Runner of the Tower of Terror 10 Miler.

Recognize the face with me? Unfortunately, he is NOT a part of this TR... especially since I didn't take a picture of him waiting at the airport for me at the end of the trip.


The other Main Cast
Claire, age 24 at the start of this trip, student teacher, and seasonal CM at the Bakery and Casey's. 10 Miler Spectator.

Supporting Cast
Angel, age 21, Nurse, Tower of Terror 10 Mile Runner. and Jerzy, age 21, Dan's brother, Angel's fiancee, bird lover, and 10 Miler Spectator.

And, as I said, there's other people making appearances in this TR, so keep your eye out for them!!!!

So, really, my TR starts about a WEEK before this trip happened for one specific reason.

AHHHHHHHH I got accepted to DCP!!!! Which means, this trip also celebrates 100 days until my college program starts and I am a CM at WDW.




annnnd on to the weekendddddd.

So I can get my Race Bib!


Packing for this trip was a LOT different than February... Because, I only packed a carry on! You wouldn't believe how much I actually DIDN'T pack. It was kinda sad actually.

Woohoo, you're doing the Princess Half! You will LOVE that race, it's so much fun! Will any friends be joining you or are you doing it solo?

That sucks about your plane ride...the guy sitting next to you really sounds like a piece of work (I'd use different phrasing, but this is a family board after all...).

And yay for 2 Pascals! I think I need to grab one for myself sometime soon...

Oh no! I forgot a DME picture.

These two are seriously the best people ever.

We rode the bus to our stop at Music, the whole entire time with Claire pointing out where various DCP stuff is (like Vista Way, etc) and me just staring out the window thinking "am I really moving here in 100 days from now? Crazy!" and Jerzy going "I WANNA SEE AN ALLIGATOR."

Which, really, the alligator could be another title for this TR since it was a running theme for our weekend.

But, I digress.

I never got a picture of our room number (I failed at this this time apparently), but it was 8558 in the Broadway section.

By the time we got to MK, the huge storm rolling through had already passed by so we didn't have to worry anymore about getting soaked. Though clouds still seemed to randomly attempt to attack us the whole night.

Magic Kingdom Time!!!!

I haven't been to MNSSHP since I was about 9 or 10 years old, so it had been a really long time since I had seen the decorations, characters, etc. and I went a little picture crazy with it all. I'd say oops, but really it isn't a big oops moment!

Oh it's sold out? Wonder what that'll do to crowds...

We got to MK right around 5pm, and we had made plans with a future CM buddy of mine who starts DCP the same day, James, for 6:45 in front of the castle... so Claire and I decided to enjoy some time around Main Street (Angel and Jerzy decided to just have dinner at DTD and stay in the room).

I was obsessed with these for some reason? haha.

I fell today. FELL ON THE SIDEWALK WALKING TO MY OFFICE. Sprawled out - fell on hands and knees. Bag went flying. No serious injuries - except my ego. I was mortified. And I come to my desk to see a Courtney TR - day improved. And now a cliffhanger? This is not a good day.

Walking out of the fire house with my new Sorceror's cards, Claire started to freak out because of music being played. Then it started to go "Hey, get up, get loud. We're pumping up the party now."

We just plopped on to the group to watch the parade, since I had NEVER experienced it before in my life.

Claire told me we had to follow the parade so I could see what they did... but she got sidetracked once we got to the Bakery and she had to go in and say hello to her peeps she worked with.

It wasn't super crowded around the castle, so we hung out there for a bit and I got to watch some more parade-ness.

We decided to go over and get a Partner's Statue picture... and on the way there, we ran into my friend James. An hour earlier than we expected! I was so excited I attacked him right away and we spent the next hour hanging out being silly.

they're actually BOBS, the Sketcher's version of TOMS... I wish they were actually toms though haha. I am in LOVE with those, but not having money from student teaching means I need to buy the $20 version instead.

I'm SOOO sorry it's been a while since my last update, student teaching likes to eat my soul out for lunch every day! And I don't work at an office anymore where I can just update when I'm feeling bored.



Magic Kingdom Continued....

After we did our Partners statue, James and I decided we needed to call a good friend of ours named Kirsten. Now, Kirsten is a friend that we met online because of DCP, and she's also someone that I talk to literally every single day when I have a chance to (she actually had her entertainment audition today!). She is still on Pending, and she had just found that out the same day James and I were in MK, so we had to call and cheer her up a bit.

She took a picture of it, but since it's in a secret group on Facebook, I can't share it... but we had her on the FaceTime with my iPhone, and the three of us plus Kirsten in spirit decided to walk towards Space Mountain.

Walking up to Space, the sign said 20 minute wait. We figured that we would wait since that's really not a big deal at all... Luckily, with it being so close to the kick-out time for the party, there wasn't anybody in there at all and the "wait" was literally our walk up to the cars.

I'm still not sure how they got 20 minutes out of this of all things.



I was determined to try to get that blue tunnel picture, and since James is awesome with cameras, we had him sit in the front seat with my camera. Alas, that picture still needs to be taken, but hey... we're making baby steps!

James took a picture of our picture for me. I love this! haha.

When we came out, a CM asked Claire if she wanted a new birthday button. So he painted one for her and made it look extra special, which I think was a pretty nice touch of magic for her birthday trip.

Claire insisted that he put tape over it even though it was paint instead of sharpie.




Unfortunately, it was time to head towards the front of the park to say goodbye to James.. so we made our way up towards there, and watched as the clouds were starting to move in once again (please no more rain!!!)

I swear, these clouds were a pretty creepy back drop for a Halloween party

Every once in a while, I can get creative I swear!
