Hi Jen - how's your day going?

We had a nice day here - we all seem to be past the sickness, so it was so nice to return to Sunday morning worship service :)...Mike worked today till about 4:30, and Abby had a friend visit this afternoon. I also did a little shopping on Disney.com - got the kids' Cmas ornaments and an ornament set of Disney characters for our tree. :)

Steph, I have to concur with Dot and Betty about the latest Asher pics. He has a sparkle in his eye that is a delight to see....and I can't help but think you will be in for some fun when he is mobile. :D

Glad you're all feeling better Jen - I know the flu is spreading through our school like crazy.

I've got to get over to the Disney Store myself some time this week. The last time I was there I saw an Eyeore ornament that I wanted for our tree as a reminder of our friend who passed away this year. She was an avid Eyeore fan, so I thought it would be fitting. Anyway I didn't have a lot of money with me atht time, so I figured I'd wait til our Disney trip and just get it then with my birthday gift card that I hadn't used up, but they didn't have it there. In fact they had a very poor selection at the resorts, and we never got to DTD to look there. Anyway, I need to get over there soon, since I generally don't set foot in the mall after Thanksgiving.

Me either - I can't stand the crowds. Which means sometime this week I need to do a little shopping for some new Christmas decorations. We have a few things that are either breaking down or are already there, so I want something new to look at this year. Only a week and a half till Thanksgiving, I can't believe it! :dazzle:
Here's Joel's ornament:

Well, Mike has a stuffed Alpha and Dug that talk - we picked them up at WDW this summer. So it just made sense for the 'kids' to get him the Beta and Gamma talking stuffies for Christmas this year. Those are the other items I bought. He seriously loves those dogs

Thanks! And I'm afraid yo're right about the mobility. He's such a busy-body already...he doesn't stop wiggling/kicking/flapping!

I just watched "UP" for the first time, last night.
Even though parts of it were sooo sad, I thought it was pretty good. I didn't really get the talking dogs, although I did like Doug.

Love the ornaments, Jen!

Yes. Yes, it certainly did. I'm sure kids don't really get that. Still, very heavy for a Disney movie.

I feel that way about a lot of Pixar's movies...beneath the stuff geared toward the kiddos is a message trying to be said. Nothing life altering , but it's a lot of, 'slow down', 'appreciate what was', 'be true to who you really are', and in Up's case, 'just living life can be an adventure'. IMO of course. :o
